  1. Well i had my reg number in english, so it was a case of searching for the word, like typing "Shinagawa Hiragana" into google, and then looking for the relevant symbols. But it could be harder when you have Japanese to start with.
  2. Interesting to know Nick, i suppose that 'goods by the river' makes sense now, i was only translating via google images and wikipedia lol, so i wasn't sure how accurate i was. I see your location is Japan, do you live there permanently?
  3. Have you checked the fuses?
  4. What would be stock sizes on a n/a? Could i go as low as 245/40/18 on 9.5"
  5. The company who exported my car, wrote the export cert in english, and their website is also english. I suppose it depends who exported your car. Showa Trade Co. LTD exported mine.
  6. Was randomly looking through my Export Certificate, when i came across my Supra's old registration number from Japan, and i thought id have a bit of a look on the net and research what it all meant. Below are what i found, if anybodys interested lol. I just wanted to know a bit of history about my Supra. Not sure if its all correct and accurate, but i had a go lol. Below is how the plate would of looked on my Supra from 1994 to 2006 in Japan, i think.
  7. Im not really that clued up on aftermarket alloys, and ive never had to upgrade or change a set of wheel on my cars. But when i bought my Supra is had some 275/35/18 tyres on 9.5 x 18" wheels (rear only). Just wandering if i could fit 265/35/18 tyres onto these wheels when i need some more, to save a bit of money maybe, and also to try and stop the edges of the tyres catching the lip of the arch when it scrapes. Its only an N/A and doesn't really need wide tyres. What do you think? Cheers, Ash.
  8. Dont the headlamp cables come through some massive holes in the side of the wings, just follow the headlamp cables on either side, and you come to it. I think its a grommet, too dark to really see, unless ive got it mixed up.

  10. Yeah they cost me £400 new, and i used to have ringing ears when i came out the car lol.
  11. Sounds gd lol, ill be re-listing them on ebay if its free, but ill probably get no bids again.

    Air con

Air-con only revs about 300rpm more than usual doesn't it? Cant understand why its an issue, its just the car doing its job lol.
  15. Well my subs didnt sell, so looks like ill have to leave the seats.
  16. Get some pics and details on how i did wat mate?
  17. Mine burnt because i was making up some blue LED's in stock bulb holders for the indicators, and when inserting them into the hole, i pressed the neg and pos together without realising, and they shorted and melted the track lol. Soon sorted though.
  18. Its funny to watch, but i re-trimmed my speaker pods in white speaker fabric a few months ago, and i didnt want people fingering them lol.
  19. Cheers, half an hour to go on ebay! No bids yet, but 12 watchers.
  20. Well my handle lights didnt quite last as long as id of hoped. The passenger one started flickering the other week, and then a few days later, the drivers one did the same. I assumed the +12V supply was being interupted, but nope, so then i traced out the negative, and no that was fine too. So i took the LED's out, and found that the solder connections must be breaking down inside the LED holder, im guessing shutting the door must of vibrated them too much, and they've now given up. I now cant be bothered to try and fix them, because ive had enough of soldering resistors and LED's for this year. Maybe next year lol.
  21. I also had burnt out tracks on the rear of my dial cluster, although instead of blowing a fuse, they just burnt out. It was one of the tracks for the negative dial lights. I turned the lights off when i saw smoke coming out of the dials lol.
  22. Ive had my phone registered on there since i saw the website on Crimewatch 2 years ago, not sure exactly how it works though.
  23. If you know which wires he changed/shorted/connected/installed/cut/spliced into then i would remove it all and put everything back to standard. Then look for a +12V supply from a simpler source. I dont understand why your mate shorted the plug to ground. All you need is a 12V. I would just splice into a single wire.
