Nope as far as I know, all that was done was disconnected the temp sensor to send the signal to the ECU and then reconnect before disconnecting the battery for a re set. Everything is working fine now. Kam

Pretty much. it became intermittent so I went to get it checked. I belive they said the wiring had just become loose so they've just pushed everything together. They did say that there were 2 sensors. I'm gonna presume one is the guage and one is the sensor. I'll see what they say.

I've had the car for 2 years now without this being an issue before so it seems strange that if it was an aftermarket one, that it is only casuing the problem now. I'll get my garage to check out the wiring and see if there is another wire that goes from the sensor to the ECU. Thanks

wanted OEM Skirts, replica's are okay as long as they are a good fit.

Ok, I'm presuming the attached info also relates to the NA Manual as it did show it was for a TT. In any case I did the paperclip thing and it gave me the error code 22 for the water temp sensor. As I said there was any issued as the needle was not getting a reading but I have been advised there was a loose wire which has now been fixed and my Temp needle is working fine. However I still cannot get rid of the warning lights. Any Ideas please to get this re set? Thanks KAm

Tried this, left the negative terminal off for about 5-10 mins but still got the orange light on and the warning triangle stays on. Does anybody know where I can get this checked locally or in South Yorkshire? Thanks

Hi All, I new to do the above after the garage has replaced the Temp sensor on my car which stopped the needle on the dash working. I've not done anything else so I'm presuming this is what has caused it. The needle now works but the light is still on. Does anybody know anywhere around Sheffield I can get this checked or re set? Thanks Kam

Hi All, As above I need help for the alternator which needs replacing on my car as it does not charge the battery up and the battery light (as well as the ones for the cat and lights) keep coming on and my dash lights dim even when the car is on. Also the laternator does not charge my battery. I have the NA 5 speed manual but it is an import if it makes a difference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Kam
