    Mis Firing Sup

Sorry mate, the car was already mis firing and that is why I decided to get it serviced. It's had that done and still mis firing hence why I'm thinking to do the leads next. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks
  3. Hi Peeps, My car (NA 5 spd) has just started to misfire when it is warm. It is only slight but still noticeable and causes car to judder when accelarating from low revs. I've just had the car serviced and plugs changed so expect it to be the leads. My local Toyota dealer has quoted me £135.00 for a set of leads. Does anyone know where I can get them cheaper from Toyota, a garage that offers members discount or any other reliable source. I have tried Paul from the club and waiting for him to get back to me but any help in the meantime would be appreciated. Thanks Kam
  4. Hi Gaz, I accept that there are some good officers just as there are good people/drivers out there. As always, there will always be some instances where an individual in the force has interpeted the law and decided he/she is going to enforce it in a different way. Just as there will always be the boy racer to exceed the laws in one way or another. Either way, as we all know, it only takes one person to give a bad representation of a group and consequently this argument will not go away and such a mark on the Police will never go away. As to taking it to Court, luck has nothing to do with it as long as you have a good solid case. Kam
  5. +1, definately take it to Court mate. I had this happen to me recently and I just thought it was a one off, didn't know they were practising it all over the place. In my case they drove past me at a round about and only came up to me because they were stuck in traffic, I had my seat belt on all the time and even when the officer came to the window. I basically said to him what are you on about as I was on my way to work and he just said don't do it again and walked off as the traffic cleared. He was just being an idiot as if he genuinely believed I was at fault why drive past me at the round about and wait for me to pull up behind their car. As per previous post, the CPS would have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that you were committing the offence and from what you have said, you have valid grounds of doubt. The fact it's their word against yours doesn't mean they're not lying. It's happened to me before once when I supposedly went through red lights too and I asked them to take me to Court. Eventually got a letter saying they would not bother. Give it a go. Kam
  6. you have invite from me to spend any day, any time in my community without harm to you so you can get an insiders view/perspective. You'll see that my community is mixed if not has more of the "british" type of british people, you'll therefore not stick out like a pale thumb. (sorry couldn't help myself) Kam
  7. No thanks mate, First thing that will happen is that I will get counted as part of the idiots. Irrespective of my thoughts. Also if I was to do that, you guys here would be even less likely to see me as anything but civilised. I'll continue to fight my corner with the help of my keyboard. If however you want to see what we are like for real and how we work in our community, come down for the day, we'll have a mini meet, I can take you to our mosque, you can see first hand what goes on in there and in our community and I promise, hand on heart, you won't get blown up.
  8. I can't help it if the media does not want to talk to people like me, must not be good publicity for the cause but be assured I have contacted many sources and made similar points wherever any such issues have arisen, be it the local papers or Sky News, funnily enough though, my comments are never printed or read on the news hence I make such issues on the forums
  9. I'm not playing any victim card, just standing up for my religion which is unfairly tarnished. The reason why the majority of us decent muslims can't influence the nut cases is the same reason as why the majority of decent british people will never be able to influence the few that can't or respect the rest of us. No matter what you and I do, as long as there is the one that is always there on both sides, this issue will never get sorted. There will always be idiots claiming to do things in the name of god and Islam and there will always be other people claiming all muslims are terrorists. If ever I come across the idiots, i'll tell them that they are doing wrong and as you have seen, I'll do the same for people slating muslims as a whole.
  10. That's perfectly understandable mate. I agree with you that the people that have done the awful things in recent times do deserve to be punished. At the end of the day even in 911, there were muslims that were in the towers and consequently killed. Irrespective of people's faiths there are many husbands, wives, kids and parents that have all lost out. The same in all the other stupid acts of any such things since 911 and before then. My point is that although most muslims will support the above, this is not what is portrayed of Muslims. Instead we are portrayed as per previous posts and media as you know. I, unlike you am a Muslim, but then like you, I don't go round trying to convert anybody either and that is not what any of my posts are about. I just don't like to have my religion tarnished just as many wouldn't want their "britishness" tarnished. What the difference between the likes of me and you and others, be them terrorists, activists or the likes of some hot headed people that don't give a damn is that irrespective of who we are, where we come from and what our beliefs are, I (and I hope you) can respect the people we live and work with as they are. Kam
  11. That I obviously do and that is my point where once controversialness did play some part, it was obviously no longer an issue for the British media and some of it's people to link Islam to any terrorists in today's age.
  12. I haven't disagreed with this at any time, like I said, they were there doing their job. No issues with them at all. Glad they are safe but there are innocent casualties on both sides. Might have something to do with the other religions not getting much media publicity and tarnishing in the same way Islam has had.
  13. If you were reading my previous posts you would have noticed that I was not talking about or raising any issues of why one party was fighting another or which side they represented. All i'm saying is that even when you are now writing IRA (which was my example) you do not write Catholic IRA so why write Muslim or Islamic whatever other than to tarnish the name of the religion by linking the two.
  14. +1. Like I said, There is no issues with the soldiers coming home.
  15. Well with the very greatest of respect and using "our" well earned right of freedom of speach, thank you very much for showing your understanding of the situation. I can honestly say I would never swear black was white as I'm quite happy with black being black . With regards to how you perceive our religion, it doesn't make any difference to me but just merely goes to point out that as long there are individuals like you (that obviously don't take any sides) then this situation will never be resolved.
  16. Dude you are completely not reading what my post is about. Like I said, the reason for the fighting between the factions of the time is not the issue of my post. My only issue is that back in the day we didn't categorise the factions as you quite decently referred to in your post with any link to any faith coming before it. My point is why do we do it now?
  17. Luckily "our" troops don't do what they do just for "them" (being the activists) to abuse the freedom of speech but so that "we" "being the brits" can abuse it too.
  18. If that's the case stop thinking about just yourself and think of how your actions affect others. If you have an issue about inciting racial hatred then don't go doing it yourself to start with. Like you said, some things will make your blood boil but be ready to take it when your actions have the same affect on somebody else. I could go and call you many names too but I don't because i'm not like that all though I could if need be, quite easily stoop to your levels. The reason why I started posting on here was because my religion was being used incorrectly. If you don't correct yourselves then you have to be prepared to accept opposite comments from others, or is that not the way it works in "our" Country. Dude if you read my post you will see that is my point, my issue is not on why they were fighting each other but why was the main talked about "terrorist" group not branded by it's faith. Like you yourself have said, the situation then and now isn't actually much different other than the fact that we don't term them by where they come from anymore but more about their religion and beliefs hence using one section of the faith who have interpreted the religion in a very different way to the norm to sterotype the whole faith.
  19. I'm not sure if I am part of the "same people" but the reason I'm commenting in favour of Muslims is because to categorise us all in the same way is obviously wrong as we are not all in the same group. When people stop doing this and start criticising the minority as that rather than as a whole the maybe I won't defend them. Kam
  20. With all due respect, I cannot recall one time I ever saw the phrase, Christian IRA, Catholic IRA, or Protestant IRA or any other version of any other faith come before IRA ever used in any news or other headline when referring to the IRA. Fair enough that the types of faith may have been used to explain the issues bewteen the parties but all I'm saying is that they weren't categorised by their faith. Is it because we knew which faith these people were from, If so are you saying that you don't know which faith Al Qaida or Hamas or any other follows and have to keep reminding yourselves that it is Islam and they are Muslims? I am not condoning the actions of these people but I am questioning the need to title them by their religion when it is not the religion which is at fault.
  21. 1st off all guys I'd like to say welcome back to Dan and the rest of the peeps. I don't have anything against you personally or in any other way and the way I see it is that you were doing your job, whether you were happy to do it is for those that were there to consider for themselves but at the end of the day it was your job. What I don't like is that just because a group of people of a certain opinion or kind that does not agree with the norm always has the tags Islamic or Muslim before it. For those of you willing to do your research, you will no doubt have heard that this is not what being Muslim or Islam is about. Whether the people are part of a group as Al Qaida or Hamas or whatever, they're interpretation of Islam should not be used to slay the name of Islam or Muslims as I'm pretty confident that for each one of the people there, there are hundreds more that do not feel, think or practice the same as they do. Therefore it does bug me when people use the term Islam or Muslim to title such people. I didn't see the IRA getting the title of Christian, Roman catholics or whatever they may have been, pardon my ignorance but this is just an example. Using such term as Islamic or Muslim before such does imply that this is what Muslims do. This is not the case and can only and will only offend/hurt people who, like me, do not do anything to deserve such tarnishing. Name calling is never going to get anybody anywhere and will never help ease tensions in any community. I accept that such people maybe wrong in their practices but why infer that this is what all of Islam or all Muslims is about. It clearly is not. There will always be a certain section of every faith with ill feeling against other faiths or practices but we don't go grouping them by their faith so why do so for Islam. Thanks Kam
