  1. Which supras came with ohlins instead of bilstein then? Bought a V8 soarer with supra ohlins on. Not collected it yet tho, guess they'll be ok eh?
  2. These wheels any good or just cheap crap?
  3. But not if u have the stock 16" wheels, which i have
  4. What i basically want is 18'' rims to fill the arches, so 8.5 front and 9.5 rear, but don't want to massively up the size of tyres from the 225 std size. I may even go 8.5j all the way round, but then that may look a bit boring on the back. I'm not into stance/stretch, all this ballhooks, but as said i don't want massive rubber. Maybe 245 will be fine on the rear if i go 9.5j. I'm basically happy with my 225 55 16 std tyres on supra wheels right now, but of course they look a bit boring
  5. What the hells happened to those tyres ?
  6. I may go to 245. Possibly. I don't particularly like stretched either, but just don't want massive grip!
  7. Cheers Chris. What it looks like I'll be going for is 8.5j on the front with 225 tyres, and 9.5j the rear with 235. Fronts according to tyre websites aren't classed as stretch at all, and rear it says minimum 245 really on 9.5j, so 235 should be ok as in hardly stretched at all?
  8. Yep but mines a soarer not a supra. No coilovers btw but will soon have supra bilsteins on
  9. Nah, i hated it when i had the supra szr with 10j rears with 275 tyres, and it just wouldnt skid, try as i did! Then again, it was only an NA after all and this is a TT soarer.
  10. Think i'm decided on those japan racing ones now, and gonna go for 225 40 18 at the front on 8.5j, and 235 40 18 on 9.5j rear
  11. Got a pic? I can't find one of that
  12. I'm really liking that Japan racing wheel above now as its a step dish same as xxr but xxr cant be had in a light silver, only in chrome black. Hoping for this look...
  13. Cheers guys. Reason i ask is when i had 275 35's on 10j 18's on the supra i didnt like it. So i dont wanna over-tyre the soarer and end up preferring the way it drives on the original 16's 225's right now. So, if i was to go for 245 on 10j's on the rear, i'd have a decent amount of grip, but not too much for a bit of skidability?
  14. As title says really. I'm buying new wheels, i'm probably going for 8.5j all round, which means i wont be stretching tyres, but if i end up going 9.5-10j on the back, how would say a 245 40 perform on a rim that size?
  15. Is this the one u mean? Quite nice. Prefer the xxr 521, but think 25 offset might cause issues? What do people think?
  16. I do like these xxr521, they don't weigh the same as the moon do they? Re second hand, i just dunno, the last set i bought off sxoc, ssr splitrims, were, lets just say, not as described, by a long way...
  17. Want some different wheels for the soarer, not a supra, but all same sizes/fitment of course. I like the look of the bbs lm, but the price is far too much. I then thought i was settled on the ultralite nurburgring, but spoke to the main distributer who said they are discontinued, so something along these lines guys. Here's a few pics. Dunno about stuff like these Zcw, lionhart(?) dares etc if they are just too cheap, what do people think?
  18. Cheers, yours does look like brand new tho
  19. Cheers to Iky who has sent me an excellent condition boot and wont take any money off me for it
  20. Haha Famous quotes from my old mot man include 'your gonna get a fog light arent ya' and 'dont worry about emmissions, worst comes to worst i'll stick the probe up that shitbox corsas exhaust' legendery eh!
  21. Cheers Chris I'll get this one off Iky. The mots not due till Jan, but the nice old man i used to go to for years has retired, so I'm trying to find a new nice old man!
  22. Cheers pal i'll pm u. Reading Chris's post then i was just about thinking if no boot is ok, superglue on the ripped one is surely ok as well but if its gonna be a possible mot headache then mays well change it
