  1. and all this time i thought it was on a std ecu.... Oh Ryan, i just remembered, on my E30 with the AEM if i full throttle quickly sometimes it goes to accellerate, the completely cuts and then comes back on again, only if i floor it quickly at 4-6k rpm or so, any ideas???
  2. good info here. my old one used to do this but only sometimes, now i know, i will check as i have the same turbos and vsv's from my old engine installed
  3. I have found this when sups are low on fuel, if you accelerate hard, it dropps fuel pressure (sucking in air) and cuts out hard as if it was std fuel cut. Maybe this is a safety setting programed in the ecu, because it doesnt give the feeling of a missfire, with other cars you'll get a slight misfire but with these they just cut. My theory with your issue is may be a WEAK PUMP, so under boost it cannot supply enough pressure, the ECU recognises this and completely cuts fuel in order to stop any damage occuring to the engine.... The ecu may recognise this via engine the knock sensors if it doesnt measure the o2 output first.
  4. Exactly my question???? I have built an engine using these cams, can they be safely run with the std jap spec ECU or do you swap in 550cc UK injectors and ECU? and if you swap in the ecu does it run without an AFM and on the JAP loom????
  5. trust me any project you undertake will ALWAYS take a lot longer than you expect, i now always expect everything NOT to fit, that way you never get dissapointed. I\just bought a brembo brake upgrade kit for my project car and now have found the wheels that i have designed the entire car (wheel arches ect) around wont clear the caliper! sods law, cant space them out and need 10mm... now to solve this one!

  12. Yes it is, it allows you to run in excess of 1 bar boost, without it your car will donky about when it hits a bar:)

  15. Yes they are for UK, i got them off ebay but never got round to actually using them, my UK brakes already have grooved disks so these are spare now:(

  19. nope. have a look at the pic, its the same think. but the manual tt has a shock absorber bolted to it £35 delivered:)
