Hey guys Iv currently got a 1996 j-spec TT, with a kakimoto exhaust on, problem is its blowing some where along the system so im thinking of getting a new full system from MIJ in walsall...i want to completely de-cat it to obviously gain a bit more power however when i mentioned a restrictor ring to them to hadnt got a clue...they seem a good garage and are a GTR and jap specialist but i was a little concerned they werent aware of this...what are the complication of not using a restrictor ring?? is it dangerous? Iv got a HKS EVC IV boost controller. Advice please!!!

to be honest its all a load of crap....and i feel for you mate. Iam on my 4th supra and when i 1st started owning then the police were on my case all the time. the latest one is a J-spec import with the square type plates on, no insignia, no codes or marking on just plain and again i got pulled. At the time there happened to be nxt to a BMW garage ....to my advantage i point out the various different style of the plates on the cars there. I informed him dispite having a bike type plate the text on mine was infact legal and the DVLA had recent done a check on the vehicle via its import registration, hence they were the one who did my plates!! The next day i out of chioce i took all my documentsdown the cop shop and they havent hassled me since!

make sure ur doing it over water and not a concrete car park....some poor bugger made that mistake near me a few years ago

mine TT cost me about 60quid to fill up 97RON, god knows how but i managed 265 miles leamington to mount hawke in cornwall with still just under half a tank left....me was quite chuffed to say the least!!, although having said that i used nearly the same on couple of laps of castle coombe

Hey theres a place in birmingham called show gear, just a small lock up not really advertised but has some quality cars...they seemed a bit useless to start with hence registration and paperwork taking 9wks to sort, plus all the car seem very low milege but i persevered and got myself this... its had only done 44k, had volk RAYS TE37's on, lots of HKS parts and nice kit for under 7k, they had a few nice FTO's, EVO's and SCOOBYS there too.!

hey ive got BPU supra which i rang at shakespeare a couple of weeks ago, i tried the whole rev it up then take ur foot off the brake thing but it sounded awful and im lucky the box didnt break...in the burnout patch just put ur boost up a tad and floor it in drive, im managed to do a nice burnout whilst moving, enough to look good and warm up my tyres.i won every race i did that day! ...i wouldnt do it too often tho...my cars been running like a sack of spuds ever since, so of the THOR it is.... i ho i ho its off to thor we go...

Saw highlights, good game.. Er ...southams the other direction..dnt mind a detour tho lol.yeah my other half honeybutt is the pace car!!lol ...should be a good day. wel have to sort times so we join up with the others on the way. My soop is in the bodyshop today being sorted, then off the thor the week before japfest for some TLC and a good tweek!

:duel:i raced a v.tidy calibra turbo last sunday at shakespeare county raceway...it was a freezing cold day, i couldnt get my power down and i was running low boost BPU...i leathered him! stick with the supra!
