  1. The boxes didn't look too battered, but clearly not packaged well enough on the top and bottom! Surely wheels should be sent with some kind of thick packaging to stop damage? From now on everything gets checked!
  2. That's not for a refurb, that's for the wheels themselves I've sent them some pics, and they replied: Hi Dan, Im sorry to hear about this, but did you sign for them ‘in good condition’ – the problem is when you sign it says on the couriers information ‘received in good condition’ if you have just signed without putting ‘damaged’ on the form, then we cannot claim from the couriers. That is clearly courier damage, as they were not in that condition when they left here L Let me know if you signed as good condition or damaged and we will go from there. I replied, but waiting to hear back
  3. I paid £560 for the 4, which i think is a good price.
  4. It's a firm called 'Wheelman' who appears to have attempted to refurb them!
  5. The quality of the wheels themselves are great, but the paintwork is proper terrible! I took one of the 'hair net' protective covers off, and more paint came away! The wheels were pretty well packaged. Got them from Rarerims who are the Rota people in the UK i believe?
  6. Did they just fob you off because you signed for it?
  7. Cheers Well, I found this other, WELL most interesting video for all the trucker fans out there! lol My favourite moment is at 54 seconds with a wicked overtake of a Morrisons truck! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uj4U2a8YhkI&NR=1
  8. Damn! lol I thought I got there first!
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caPmw3OVQMo&feature=related Holy christ! I'd be pooping myself!
  10. Yeah, it looks like it! The only problem is that they arrived just as I was about to head to work, and I didn't have chance to check them! Apparently there is an option to sign 'unchecked', but it was an electronic signing thing instead of the standard paper type! I'm gunna get stuck with 4 f*cked alloys aren't i....
  11. Just a few pictures to follow-up my post the other day about the damage! Just waiting to hear back about what they're gunna do.
  12. But you could always give it a whack by following my very excellent repair guide
  13. Well, the wheels arrived yesterday, and when I opened one of the boxes one of the rear wheels had paint damage to the rim in two places! I've emailed the guy and he's asked for pics but is claiming transit damage! What do i do now?!
  14. Hi mate, My best advice I can give you is to scrap the refurb and just buy a new unit, it'll cost about £100 and will save you a load of hassle in the future! I refurbed my MC and within 6/7 months my MC went completely due to the new seals in the ageing aluminium bore, it made the bore too big, and stopped working completely! I'd seriously advise just getting the new unit.
  15. Edit:Didn't read the 'scale' bit! lol
  16. That Supra in the first pic is the only other one that I've ever seen with the same wheels as mine! However, mine will be different soon
  17. That sounds ace! It's something I've always wanted to do.
  18. God knows when I'll be able to put tyres on, hopefully this month! I will certainly get some pics up when they're on
  19. Nintendo DS Lite in Black. Boxed in perfect condition with all original instructions. Also has a carry case and holders for 4 games. Games: New Super Mario Bros Mario vs Donkey Kong 2 MarioWare Touched Super Monkey Ball Resident Evil All games are fully boxed with all instructions. I also have Brain Training 2 but I can't find the case for it but it's works perfectly fine and I can throw that in as well. £140 Cheers Dan
  20. Ok, so stick with what Stonkin suggested? Sounds good.
