Well, ive had my supra for 2 days & had no end of prats riding my rear bumper lol is this usual? Just now, doing 30 in a 30 zone, some guy in a jag who was going normally till he spots me & rockets up behind me, just indicated in, let him pass & started off again. Similar storys on dual carriageways except with vauxhalls & BMWs...apart from the stopping part of course What is everyone else's experience like?

Whats best? painted or replacement dash trim?. How much & where do i get one? Thanks for pointing out the screen wash control, the steering wheel, controls etc are almost identical to my old celica, so assumed they worked the same.

hmm screen washers not working, rear one works, not the fronts, cant even hear the motor..maybe problem with the controls. Never simple lol

Only thing the dealer let me down on is, i asked him to replace the boot lid dampers as part of the deal & they still dont work. Only noticed when i was taking those photos that id driven it home with the boot open.

Just picked it up. 95 TT auto, 50k miles. Was naughty but had to take it past 56mph for a second when the coast was clear to celebrate its delimitation Took a while of stamping on the brake pedal to get used to not using a clutch in traffic but im ok now. Now...what do all the things on the auto shifter do, L/2 etc, how do i use manual mode?. What difference does the overdrive switch make?

GTR is looking like being 70k in the UK. Its about time lexus had a car like that, sounds like its pretty much the premium version of the new supra then.

I did hear that the lexus did beat the GT-Rs time round the nurburgring. GTR is going worldwide this time, wonder if the lexus & supra will be japan only?

Would this compete against the GT-R? thats a very tough challenge. V8 5.0 450bhp non turbo, also a V6 350bhp version, i heard the leccy engine gives a 100bhp boost? Does 30mpg i read too. Anyone heard the rumour about a new RX-7?

ok, im gonna stop. You stick with what toyota gave you, i will look for inspiration from elsewhere for what performs best, the car just seems a bit tail happy with the original wheels, more rubber in contact with the road has to be a good thing & fk ride comfort..no not 19's. ok how many of you still have the original wheels or equivalent size on your supra? Were no longer restrained by the early 90's cost of alloys & tyres. Given the wide choice you can get today, you can get a better wheel setup. Can you disagree with that?

Maybe you should close off the club to new people so you can all just agree with eachother as much as you like in peace. The "click" is obviously inpenetrable without some ass kissing. Disagree & get flame grilled & ripped on. Friendly!

Ive been part of toyotas piloting & my god do they skrimp & save every single part..literally is made as cost effective as possible to max out their profit, making metal parts thinner etc. Maybe working for the company & seeing behind the scenes has made me cynical. Some of the stuff they do is unbelieveable. Whatever you may think, im going to swap my 16's out for something more grippy, cause i dont think they are the best for the car.

I never said 19's were the ideal wheel, just that the 16's,17's arent. Considering the cost of a new supra when it came out, if cost is an issue to you, maybe not the car for you? Dont call me an idiot. Im pretty sure the F40 weighed a lot less than the supra , the wheels fill the arches & look right on the car..those wheels were the really light weight ones too werent they?.

Suspension will be setup for a compromise of ride comfort over performance. Wheels will be fitted with balance between cost of the wheel & tyre price over performance. If you want the optimum you have to do it yourself..not saying i know what the perfect setup is but the wheels should be bigger than what they give you. toyota always follow a plan. Release a car half spec, then facelift it with the bits more like they designed it to have to lift the sales midway through the cars life.

toyota are cheap asses, example, how often do they put stainless exhaust systems on their performance cars? more like steel with a stainless shroud on the tailpipe. It all comes down to profit at the end of the day. You have to pay extra for the better parts when you buy it. Based on this i dont always think what they supply is whats best for the car.

If you buy 19's from a shop & choose to have tyres fitted with the alloys, they will automatically fit the tyres that would make the 19's equal to the original wheels that came on the car by reducing the profile of the tyre. If you have plenty of room around the wheel with the original wheels+tyres then you could choose a slightly bigger profile tyre with the 19's to make the ride less harsh & bumpy. You could also go for the drift look & stretch the tyres over the rims with a smaller tyre width.

Maybe get an RAC check or something, its got to be worth the peace of mind.

I have 3 hard discs, 1 xp, 1 vista & 1 for storage of media n stuff. I just change which one i want to boot from in the bios. Really safe & keeps the OS from getting clogged with programs. Only need a small HD for the OS to install on, cheap

wow, what an idiot. If he was driving on his side of the road in control, that would have to be some crazy driving for you to get in a position on that bend where he would plow into the rhs fender on your car, some sort of reverse drifting? if you lost control it would be more likely a head on colision or lhs fender. If you hadnt have explained what happened & just put the photos up, id have said it was his fault. he smacked into you and shunted you to the side of the road.

its very possible that they didnt even notice. Dont tunnels have cameras in them? You never know!
