for sale 17" BBS Alloys With Good Tyres - Must Go
xanderroan replied to xanderroan's topic in Parts for Sale
not sure what's up with them, seem to be ok from my computer. could be a firewall thing maybe - if you send me your e-mail (pm) i can e-mail them to you. -
Hey People, Just got some replacement alloys so I have this set of four BBS 17" wheels going with pretty decent tyres on them. I don't particularly like them much, but they may be to someone's taste or they may be good for winter or some other use for someone. Here is a picture of them on the car, and further down some links to close ups. http://www.alex-roan.net/shinysupra.jpg Close Ups: http://www.alex-roan.net/BBS.jpg http://www.alex-roan.net/BBS2.jpg http://www.alex-roan.net/BBS3.jpg http://www.alex-roan.net/BBS4.jpg http://www.alex-roan.net/BBS5.jpg Must go, so send me your offers, best offer by say Tuesday gets them, oh - I can't deliver, so if you can pick up or send someone to collect in North London it would be ideal. They are filthy in the pictures, they are all in about the same condition as the top one, I'll clean up one of them to post what it looks like clean but probably won't do them all (too lazy) oh - they are off a J-Spec, I've not idea if they will be ok with UK Callipers, but anyone is welcome to come over and try one.

Saw a white Supra parked just of Colney Hatch Lane in North London on my way home, I think it had a rear light conversion with body coloured surround to the lights. First other Supra i've seen since I got my one
-
hey guys, just saw this film recently, actually thought the supra looked fantastic, anybody seen a spec list for it I really liked the exhaust note - didn't seem too loud, but with a nice powerful note. Anyone know what was on it? I wouldn't copy the orange style, but the guy who built that one originally produced something pretty nice looking.
-
Probably the wrong category, sorry - but wasn't sure where to post for general advice. Somebody has made a bit of a mess of applying window tint to the supra before I owned it, just wondering if anyone has some tips on how to remove it. I read on the web the stuff has two layers and it's tuff to get the second one off, some websites say to spray / soak the glass in ammonia before trying to peel off.. any practical experience in the club?

i'm leaving my current contract on the 20th, so have been half arse'd working from home all week.. which comprises of: 8.30am - head out, get the paper hit a cafe and have breakfast 10am - check e-mail, reply 12am - back out for lunch, finish paper 2pm - check e-maiil, reply 3.30pm - get the PS3 out, do a bit of burnout (i think i'm doing well avoiding it until after 3) 6pm - dinner then tv / movies / beer... it's the good life alright, not looking forward to having to work hard again though .. hmm might watch canonball run tomorrow..

If your looking for something a bit cheaper than a decent new evo/lancer, I used to drive a GT-Four before the Supra and thought it was a lovely car. Maybe a little underpowered as standard, but light in comparison to the GTO, handled extremely well in rain/snow and probably could be quite fun if tuned, some of them look pretty good too.. my old one did http://www.alex-roan.net/Ride/Original%20Files/DSCF0318.JPG

Damn, I considered going there to look at a Skyline about two years ago, the cars and descriptions look so damn attractive on autotrader it's easy to get pulled in.. hmm if we spam words like Keighley and the location etc. will this get to the top of google

Thank you so much for writing down this guide It seems stupid, but it turns out I had no idea how to wash a car, such a simple thing as the two bucket approach. I could kick myself when I now think of the number of times I've probably rubbed grit and stones and all sorts of crap over my car when washing it. Anyway, as I'm pretty lazy and slow it took a massive three hours to wash (two buckets), dry, clay and use paint cleaner, but so far it looks good.. Can't wait to see it when it's polished and wax'd http://www.alex-roan.net/shinysupra.jpg On the downside, now that it's so clean I can see every stonechip and other mark
-
ok - I'll stop being lazy, tomtom says 1 hour, so should be about 1 - 1hour 30 minutes, I think I can make it, would be nice to see some other Supra's
-
Perhaps I can make it - anyone know how long it takes roughly from North London? I guess it's an hour or so?

Hey There - Good Price! - I'm looking for something for my Supra - I can give you my current 'crappy looking' bbs ones in p/x - would you be interested (you can check the BBS alloys on my garage), I can get some close ups of the tread if you are interested. Let me know. Thanks hmm does black look any good on a red car? -
I worked in Romania for a year a few years back and those are sweet rides compared to most of the Dachia's and Lada's...

I'm reading Jackie Stewarts Autobiography - 'Winning Is Not Enough' - Really interesting read and quite inspirational - would recommend that one to everyone. I also just listened to Gordon Ramsie's 'Humble Pie' (first book) on audio, a bit less relevant to us lot - but it was pretty good too, audiobooks are particularly good for autobiographies- having the actual author tell their story adds another dimension of meaning to the words. Other than that, I've only been reading some trashy fantasy novels by Trudi Canavan - pretty decent escapism

difficult to beat some that have been shown, but here is a contender: Glad someone already added an 'abflug' which I already dissed in another post http://www.zercustoms.com/car-show/albums/userpics/10001/Toyota-Supra.jpg

I've seen some ugly supras in my time, but this......

Come on guys, worst supra thread it is then.. get your pics out -
Yep - you can drive most cars w/out using the clutch at all, only getting in and out of first that's an issue. My dad was a mechanic when i was real young and he taught it to me, it's just matching up the revs to the low point that you would normally just enter that gear.. hmm - maybe i've done serious damage on a string of cars i've owned by practising this every now and then
-
Welcome mate, I studied in Glasgow
-
being new to the club I don't want to insult anyone with that kit... but as most have said why would you do that to a car that already look 100000 * better as it came out the factory ???
