  2. Washout Hell even the north was dry on our return and i mean bone dry The drive though wasnt so dry... This is why r888s and water dont mix! We were floating across the water http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnAeKfk4Nwk

    Boost problem

If you planned on running then id say just leave it and get the ball rolling with the turbo rebuild but if not and you are not going to be hammering it about then id put it back on, shows up at the pod and have a good time with us lot
  5. List updated Any parts can be taken to the pod.
  6. Not a chance, if it were that easy to make power I think all NA owners would be happy. Don't believe the quotes made by the manufactures, to make NA power you have to think TBs, internal work, cams etc etc etc
  7. May not be to everyones taste but the chorus certainly works for something like the pod PENDULUM FTW!

    Boost problem

Well good luck with it mate. Pretty sure once its in bits you will soon find the problem. Perhaps something isnt correctly installed or worse case the bearing is shot.

    Boost problem

Journal bearings are oil cooled only. Has no one else dismantled the turbo to inspect it since?

    Boost problem

Sounds like the bearing is naffed then i think

    Boost problem

In that case it does sound like the turbo, possible the bearing, is knackered then. As i said journal bearings should have a little resistance a little bit like a viscous coupling so to speak, best example i can think of, but shouldnt be difficult to spin although they dont spin 100% freely. Take a look at this video to see what i mean

    Boost problem

When you say its resistant how resistant is it? Is it only slight? Does it still spin ok but stop pretty quickly?

    Boost problem

I know this isnt the answer your looking for mate but is your turbo BB or journal type? A journal type should have slight resistance when spinning, BB turbos spin freely.
  14. 23 NA 1300 fully comp EDIT my 1st NA i got when i was 20 and that cost me about 2k to insure with 0 NCB.
  15. Ah yes i forgot you still want luxury aswel Ive actualy started looking at mine again... i turned to the dark side (partly cause they were cheap ) and found some rb26 TBs with linkages for cheap. Basicly just these ( i googled these ones as mine a buried somewhere ) http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/1503/2vj4bbc.jpg There very odd in design compared to BMW i.e. there flat but i cant help but think these maybe much easier to modify onto our engines although i maybe wrong then in which case id sell them on and try and find some better suited ones off a 4A-GE black top. Some thinking is required and apologies for the thread jack
  16. Interesting way of mouting the linkage Would it not be easier to do something like mount it to the rail similiar to this?
  17. They will charge you the labour of doing a clutch i suspect as its pretty much the same job except in your case you wouldnt be replacing the clutch. Id say £200 + depending on who does it.
  18. It is yes but the other problem you have is the release bearing, you maybe able to get it off through the inspection hole and get the fork out but good luck trying to put it back on.
  19. Its a box out job to grease the fork properly unless you have realy thin and bendy arms and like to struggle with a letterbox hole
  20. Now thats what you call an intercooler Probly the best designed one aswel
  21. Those wheels... My dream wheels those... let me know if you ever sell them Awesome looking car
  22. Ah yes good call Auto has a flex plate Manual has a flywheel
  23. Yes. The only differences are the engine looms.
  24. Looks like you got alot of competition this year! Better be coming prepared although steve will probly destroy you
