  1. as per title, pull the lever and you can hear it release but bonnet doesnt pop up. Anyone got any ingenious ideas on how to get this open?
  2. Yep im going to have a good hard think about the whole situation for the rest of the weekend. Its hard because i love the car, but at the same time the money i spend on it could be spent on another one, a newer one and possibly a TT! But on the other hand it is like you said another supra dying.. especially seems i know 100% the parts would sell on there own for more than what i would get for the car as a whole! Dilema!
  3. Well im basically about to have a rant here and im sure many of you have been in the same boat before. My love for my supra is fading fast. and id just like other peoples opinions! I took it off the road just before christmas because something was causing the rear left tyre to wear quickly (thought this would give me a chance to sort some little niggles aswell). I have been keeping it at my old dears in her garage as i dont have one at my house... Anyway so i pop round this afternoon, thought i would change the brake pads as this was on my to do list. in the stark light of day it has become apparent that keeping it in her garage was a bad idea. Only thing i can put it down to is the tumble dryer. But the interior was totally covered in mould, the paintwork especially on the boot has started to rust (can see it coming through) I knew before putting it in that i would have to Fork out for a new front bumper (bomex one has taken 1 to many speed bumps) and and the passenger wing has got a little damage. I am currently waiting on a price for a wing from keron.. but now im having second thoughts. Do i spend the money putting everything right? the bills are mounting up ... and im not to sure if i can really justify spending the money on a N/A ... despite it being manual. .. Do i break it for spares and actually get some money back. Lets face it N/A Supra arent exactly expensive. My plan was to gather all the parts to go NA-T but now when i add up what i was going to spend on that, plus the fact that i need to sort the bodywork im thinking maybee i should look into getting a TT. Sorry for the rant (needed to vent)
  4. i did a similar thing with my 300zx (not 40k mind) however enough .. it was lovely .. sold for a fraction of what it owed me .. my personal opinion is that prices wont go up for a long while .. especially seems i have seen Supras better spec'd than mine go for less than what i paid this time last year. So in a nutshell... treat it like gambling.. invest only what you are willing to loose
  5. Won't be a nice example at that price even if it is auto. Feel free to buy my NA for 4.5k tho ...
  6. so here is a question, what is everyone's mileage ... and at what mileage did you go/are you going NA-T at?
  7. so am i apparently .. must be because we are special
  8. ha yeah after i posted that i found out i could just join it myself. my bad!
  9. just to keep this thread alive .. just tried to go on the clubna-t site/forum .. doesn't seem to be working?
  10. I would Highly expect so.. and personally i would get a boost controller just for ease of use to be honest! (just my oppinion)

  15. cheers guys, ill do all the above.. (car is off the road untill this crappy weather has passed anyway so no huge rush) Any Allignment centres that you would recommend down south?
  16. the rear suspension hasnt been touched, unless it was prior to ownership but looks standard to me. the bushes dont look bad to me however im not an expert, changing the pads next weekend so will check again next weekend. and it was laser alligned after the tyre change .. so im assuming thats all a ok. thanks for the response
  17. Hi guys quick question, i have an issue with my car that I'm hoping someone can shed some light on basically my car has a horrendous wobble from the back end, it is ok under acceleration but as soon as you lift off it shakes about terribly.. It has also managed to go through a set of tyres in 3 months (no not due to excessive right foot action) just a small commute to work and back each day... I'm wondering if anyone has any idea as to what could be causing this, doesn't seem to be any play in the wheels.. Thanks in advance
  18. Thought as much, the shopping list is growing
  19. What do most people do with the ECU? i know the Supra ECU cant be mapped.. is it a case of a piggyback type afair?
  20. True, may have to be a Guinea pig. on a side note d[-_-]b where did you get that GT Wing? bit Marmite but i love it! (i should probably pay up and become a full member here.. been floating around for best part of 5 years )
  21. Excellent! didnt see that link, looks very infrormative, ta Has anyone used the GT45 turbo option from XS power.. seems the less popular choice?
  22. I have looked at these aswell and intend to be going down this route toward the end of the year especially seems my clutch is slipping and was going to uprate it anyway. My question is they offer 2 different turbo options, and being that there is a £30 price difference between the 2 .. im not entirely sure which would be the best option? is there a general preference? and also .. with the kits being cheaper .. i would almost certainly expect to have to replace some of the components it comes with.. so what replacements extra's are we looking at?!
