  1. phew! i tell you ive been hooked on this thread wondering how you were getting on glad to hear its ok now! that would put the shits up me for sure!
  2. personally i think carbon grey with white "supra" written on them. i helped my mate do his calipers on his GT4, Red car, white alloys, and he ended up choosing silver for the calipers...but the silver turned out a bit too chrome and bright looking in his opinion....just in case you go down that road, be careful The brake dust should dull them down a bit in no time!
  3. interested in the rears, if ur willing to split could u pm me a price delivered?
  4. hey pabs - wondering if you have any pics in your collection of the back of the speedo dials? i ve done an LED conversion for my dash lights, but nowhere near as bright as yours! whats your secret!? resistors? stock bulb locations for the LEDs or did you wire up loads behind the dials? I HAVE TO KNOW! i am planning to do my heater console area in white LEDs too....eventually. lovely looking car tho very tasteful.. hope she went to a good home!
  5. hey those drop links, are they front or rear? how many miles they done?
  6. thanks for your reply - ok as long as its ok where it is for now till i can source a rubber grommet for it. i have it tied down just in the corner next to the filter and in line with the bottom stock air feed. by the way the sound difference to fitting this filter took me by surprise. didnt expect it to be so loud - what a growl!
  7. hey i just thought i would jump onto this thread rather than start a new one as i have exactly the same question.... i have just fit an apexi cone filter to replace my stock airbox, and the sensor thats being talked about in the above posts, i have at the moment dangling as it came from after the filter in the stock setup, most likely taking temp reading. i just wanted to attach a couple of pics the sensor i am talking about...its got 2 wires coming out of it so it must be reading something, but it just looks like a piece of plastic and wanted to make sure it wasnt a fake?! i have a bolt in my apexi hard pipe that i could remove and fill with a rubber washer type thing so that the sensor can slot in and be of use, and more so i dont get rediculous mpg! i was just curious as to what this wierd looking thing was. thanks
  8. hey i started a thread for similar items here, i have since decided to buy new as i dont want to come across this problem again whilst i own the car! unfortunately its the ball joints/boots on mine that need replacing. personally i didnt feel comfortable about fitting new ball joints to the arms...wouldnt want to ruin the nice snug fit they are meant to have! thats if you could find anywhere that sells ball joints seperately for the mk4 supe!! Keron had all the parts i requested in stock 2nd hand (+ o/s/f lower wishbone new), worth a PM or phone call - reasonably priced as well if its new bushes you are after check out here if you havent already... i did read the thread about poly bushes ruining susp geo too, but wouldnt that get sorted by putting the car in to get the Geo re-done once fit? Good luck!
  9. not sure myself, not had a response yet...
  10. hey, i was wondering if someone who has installed koni sport shocks on their supras could take a picture of it installed and post here please? i am worried that the garage that fit mines has made a mistake! namely the position of the spring cups, one of front and one of back if poss. Cheers
  11. ooOOo can you provide costs and pics please? as long as the ball joints and bushes are in decent nik thats the main thing, as long as they all last me a few more years ill be happy with that. as i said in previous post, planning to visit the nurburgring at the end of May this yr with some mates, if i cant find the parts good enough or have to fork out for brand new parts then ill be gutted - proly have to miss the trip
  12. its the ball joints unfortunately on all the arms ive mentioned, i need my alignment done and the garage suggested i replace these parts before i do as i would just have to get the alignment done again in a couple of months! he showed me the ball joints and right enough they were torn and weaping grease. ive been told that changing the ball joints can be done but a p.i.t.a? i dunno, all i know is if i have to fork out mega bucks to get me up and running safely then its no nurburgring trip for me at the end of may! :(
  13. hey, i couldnt find anything on their website, might have to just call them instead. i have since called Mr T again (this time from CJ's post about his contact in toyota with a nice discount) and ive been quoted the following: 48770-19025 Rear Upper Arm – RH - £338.07 48790-19025 Rear Upper Arm - LH - £338.07 48740-14070 Rear Lower Arm – LH - £171.12 48069-14080 Front Lower Arm (wishbone) LH - £236.76 all in delivered was about £1100 new just isnt an option for me just now i dont think!
  14. Hi, thanks for your reply, if i can find any 2nd hand in OK nik i'll concider them, failing that it will be new parts, got a quote from my local mr T in glasgow: n/s/f lower wishbone arm - £235 with a 15% discount. ive yet to call about the other parts. i did some digging and think i have found the part numbers for the bits i need: o/s/r top wishbone - 48770-19025 n/s/r top wishbone - 48790-19025 n/s/r lower arm - TBC n/s/f lower wishbone - 48069-14080 courtesy of http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/ if anyone knows of anywhere as well that sells toyota parts at discounted rates let me know! there is someone on this forum i am sure that does but i cant find the chap!
  15. hey after the following in decent nik for JDM mk4 supe NA: rear top wishbones for both sides n/s/f lower wishbone arm n/s/r lower arm sharpish!! pics and prices would be great Cheers All Dave

  17. yeah that would be great, interested to see what other folks have for ideas! ill do the same when i get round to starting this...have all the stuff i need, just need to start! brickin it about takin my glass headlights apart to do this though!
  18. i never thought road kill would be so hard to get a picture with! i've seen a few piles of road kill on my travels but nowhere that you can stop and take a pic! this is by far the longest task yet! p.s. love Neil-NA's effort lol
  19. Sent in by Jackso11 (thanks mate) so thought i would reply back in with the details incase anyone else needs this info.... Small ring: inner diam: 70mm outer diam: 80mm middle ring: inner diam: 91mm outerdiam: 102mm Large ring: inner diam: 139mm it has no actual ring part so doesn't really have an outer diam. The top of the hole hac a lip that is about 2.5mm deep but it is only present at the top of the ring, the bottom is smooth. Hope this helps!
  20. thanks for the fast replies! a jubilee clip sounds like a good idea ill pick some up this weekend. like i said the shield is pretty solid, i tried to bend it but it was having none of it. so a JC might work! thanks
  21. hey there is a right tinny rattling sound coming from my g/f's micra - its most obvious on idle, even more so when warm. it is very audible from the outside of the car when these conditions are met. i stuck the car up on axel stands and investigated and i was able to find the source (see pic). the exhaust pipe that comes down from the engine and runs along is protected by a sheild that appears to have corroded up at the neck and is now free to rattle its little nutz off! the sheild itself is pretty solid. Does anyone have any ideas on how to repair this or is the whole section going to have to be replaced? the sheild covers the exhaust from here all the way thru to the mid section of the car and appears to be one unit from what i can see. Thanks for any help and advise
  22. hey did you make a start on this? lets see pics of the results when done
  23. Hi I have a used alternator for sale that came from my JDM L reg mk4 supe and came out at about 80k miles. the ball-bearings at the rear of the unit were "whirring", it wasnt that loud at all but i knew it was there and just wanted to replace it. So with this unit refurbed with a new set of bearings front and back it should be as good as new. Toyota do supply these bearings for anyone that knows how to replace them for a few quid the part number on this unit is: 27 06 0 - 46190 12v 10 12 11 - 55 60 dont know what they go for, not looking for much as its of no use to me now, £40 i dont have a pic just now but can post one later if anyones interested i will also soon have a full set of Standard JDM springs and Shocks (kyb i think) for sale in next week or so (once ive fitted my new ones). front driver side is weeping a little oil (was mentioned on MOT sheet) other than that they seem fine again will get pics when they're off the car. Open to offers cheers
