  1. Hi all, I have been in the "fish and chip" industry since I was 10 years old and we opened a very successful restaurant in Marbella. I left Marbella because of family arguments etc...I moved back to the UK in December after 3 years in Marbella and I went to work for a guy who wanted someone experienced in the "fish and chips" industry. This guy has literally offered me the chance to open a fish restaurant in the best site in Tenerife and will give me 10% of the restaurant every year until I own 50%. I will have total control because he will remain in England. I have had the Spanish experience before and it was not so great, their relaxed attitude to work and the corruption delayed everything. I have nothing keeping me in the UK to be honest and I do speak Spanish. Now my question is, would you guys do it if you were in my shoes?
  2. top man bigbloodyturbo, was exactly what you said, nearly all 5 bolts on my rear driver's side wheel were on the verge of coming off, I tightened them up and no noise, thanks a million
  3. Hi guys, just last night out of nowhere I got this knocking noise from under the car towards the rear. It doesn't happen at idle or when accelerating but as soon as I take my foot off the accelerator it starts. The faster the car is moving the faster the knocking noise. I assume it should be easy to diagnose because the symptoms are pretty specific. I am thinking part of exhaust or propshaft I have read about. Any help? Thanks
  4. I dont understand anyone who wants to get back in contact with a person who cheated on them, betrayed them and never tried to contact you since. One harsh lesson I have learnt over the years is that women ALWAYS do something they really want to do. If she wanted to contact you, she would have. If a girl really wants something they go after it, even the shy ones. Men would happily have strong feelings for an ex but never contact them because of self-pride etc.... The old saying is true....."if you love someone, let them go, if they come back to you then they must love you too" I have tried several times in the past to get a gf back and lost my self dignity, but you know what, it never once worked, the only one I ever got back was the one I completely ignored and forgot about. Trying to be friends with her now will just cause problems for her current partner.
  5. I promise that is not my messy room
  6. If you want to take revenge then you have never grown up, this can also lead to taking it out on somebody who does not deserve it, like a girlfriend or somebody more vulnerable than yourself. Just be the best person you can be and that is all that is important to the people that care about you. The bullies always get what is coming to them in the end.
  7. Wheels look great, are they Axis Hiros???
  8. Hi all, I got the wheels back and there was no real problem with the studs, they glued back in and look fine. Here are some pics of the refurb, I don't have any before shots but anyone who knows wheelmania's laquer effect knows that it gets ruined very quickly. The guys at Diamond Styling in Kent refurbed my wheels and put a slightly darker carbon colour on the centre pieces. One thing that really p****d me off, the holes for the wheels nuts are very small on these wheels and I slightly scratched the new paint when putting them back on. Does anyone know where I can buy a wrench with a slightly smaller head so I dont keep doing this every time I remove the wheels or is it possible to buy nuts with a smaller head ?? All thats left now is to paint the active front spoiler and possibly fit the TRD wing I have but I quite like the car without the spoiler.
  9. yes, shame the ex-wife dognapped her
  10. I am pretty sure now that my little rescue dog from Spain is part Beagle because she has a very similar colouring and has the little heart above the nose, although you cant really see it in the pics:
  11. no Chris the rims are 1 piece, they are dummy screws in there but they might actually be screwed in and not just glued, I will ask the wheel refurber who removed them when I pick up the wheels tomorrow.
  12. I believe they screw in becuae the guy told me he had to drill a couple of them out. I will find out tomorrow when I pick them up and let you know thanks Dnk . I am not looking for expensive ones. Just have decent metallic bolts
  13. Thanks for the responses. They guy told me that they are 6mm in diameter. The screw is 7mm and the stud head is 6mm. I will try the company you suggested. Thanks
  14. Hi, I dont know if anyone will be able to help me with this but, I have just had my Wheelmania Vortex R rims refurbished and the guy is telling me that they would look better if I replaced the studs that go around the edge of the wheel, he says they are just plastic but would look much better if I could get some decent ones. Anyone know where I can get hold of some? thanks Nick

Yes the gearbox is the same, you have L,2, and D, but you can slide it across just next to D into M mode, then use the buttons on the front and back of the steering wheel. So you can drive 3 ways, leave it in D, go through the gears from L to D using the auto stick or leave it in M and change the paddles. You can switch between M and D whenever you want during driving.
  16. i quite like Extreme- More than Words
  17. I have a silver spoilerless supra and I was in Dartford yesterday around 10.15 in the morning and again at around 9ish in the evening

  19. i would be interested if it will help with my low speed traction problems, can Pete confirm if this would help ?
  20. I bought my car with this already on, makes the dash look really nice, I don't know where it came from but it is a good effect, does not look tacky at all.
  21. Hi, yeah I have the supra here in spain, I have only seen 2 other supras here in 2 years. Thanks to Scooter for looking at it for me, its a perfect example. I think the traction problem is just the "slip con" bulb, because when I press the off button nothing appears but car is driving much better without cutting out, can actually power it when pulling out of a junction without worrying about the traction control kicking in.
  22. its possible the bulb has gone from the dash. in which position is the bulb for the traction off, because there are 2 displays, one above the other?
  23. I would love to turn it off every time I start the car but it wont turn off, there is a button to turn it off but it doesnt do anything, the only time it does anything is when snow mode comes on, then the off button removes the snow mode.
  24. Hi, have had a long search and play around with the car but I have yet to solve my problem. I have an auto tiptronic vvti and like I have read there is no trac fuse, I cant turn the traction control off when the car is driving, only when snow mode appears, so how do I turn it off when i get in the car, button doesnt seem to do anything with ignition set to on. How can I turn it off when I get into the car, it keeps coming on at low speeds. thanks Nick
