  1. Hi guys, I currently have a GReddy EGT gauge inside my car, which at the moment I am not sure if the sensor is duff or not! (as it just so happens that it wasn't connected up, it was just dangling down under the car!) As most of you know, I am in the process of doing my engine build, and im due to be putting the engine back into the car hopefully over the next bank holiday ! but before i do so I want to fit my gauges. I currently have a GReddy boost gauge (fitted), and a GReddy EGT gauge (fitted - kind of!), and i will be getting an AFR gauge as well, not sure which one yet. My questions are: 1) Is there anyway I can test if my current EGT sensor works, without fixing it into the car. When the engine was in etc and I was driving the car, the dial did light up, but the needle didn't move? Now this could be because it wasn't connected correctly, or it could also be duff hence why it wasn't connected up? Id like to check this out prior to fitting it back in! 2) If the sensor of the EGT is broke, can I get a replacement, and if so does anyone know where from and an idea of cost? 3) When I come to fit my AFR gauge, what is the best position to place the sensor? I dont suppose there is a link on here anyone knows of which explains fitting instructions. I checked the technical glossary but couldn't find anything. Also if there is fitting instructions for the EGT guage, that would be useful, so I can check that has been put in the right place. Thanks again guys!

  4. 3 men go into a hotel. The man behind the desk said the room is £30.00 so each man paid £10.00 and went to the room. A while later the man behind the desk realized the room was only £25.00 so he sent the bellboy to the 3 guys' room with £5.00 on the way the bellboy couldn't figure out how to split £5.00 evenly between 3 men, so he gave each man a £1.00 and kept the other £2.00 for himself. This meant that the 3 men each paid £9.00 for the room, which is a total of £27.00, add the £2.00 that the bellboy kept = £29.00 where is the other pound?

  13. I have been having a read of a few threads, and although im possibly considering the Vems duel egt/afr guage mentioned above, are there any other good ones people would recommend? I found these that other people have spoke about? How do they compare, anyone had experience with any of them? http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=66 http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/db.php Cheers
  14. Sorry if im asking a daft question, but Im looking at getting some gauges and have been having a read through this thread. What does AEM stand for?
  15. Bump Just after any peoples opinions still
  16. So what are your thoughts on which gauges I should have. Do I need both an AFR and an EGT gauge or can I get away with having just one, and if so which one? Cheers for your comments so far?
  17. As my car is ALMOST complete after being off the road for so long (ill have to update my Project thread! ) I am thinking of getting some gauges inside the car just so I can keep a bit of a check on whats going on! I already have a boost gauge, and I do have a EGT gauge but this doesn't work. So, my question is after reading up in the technical glossary, should I replace the broken EGT gauge and get an AFR gauge instead, or should I stick a new EGT gauge in, or would you say that I should have both. Is there anything else I should consider? Can anyone recommend any particular ones? Cheers
  18. lol hopefully not to much longer now. The engines all back together and tested and seems to be all good. Just waiting on a few hoses and clips from toyota as I have replaced absolulty everything lol. When is your car due to be complete? Back to Japfest, I went last year, it was a good day out and would like to go again, but seeing as its in 4 weeks, I doubt Ill be going!
  19. when is it again? All depends on if my car is back on the road!
