  1. A while ago I worked for an employer in the Property Business and they basically 'knocked me' when I left the company and they did not pay me my wage for the work I did....only about £650 but it's the principle of the matter. I gave them plenty of opportunity to pay, and even gave them some flexibility to reduce the payment but they did absolutely nothing. Anyway I said to them if you don't pay me I will take it to the Employment Tribunal and deal with it there. So I made a claim with the Employment Tribunal and I won the case clearly and the ET sent me a letter to say that the company has to pay me this money by such and such date, and if they don't I am also entitled to interest until the payment has been made. The judgement was made last year about April '07 and I have still not received any payment from them. What do I do now, take them to court? write them a letter? give them a call? I don't want to let them get away with not paying anything and I want the money that is rightfully mine. I also don't see the point of the Employment Tribunal if they have no real power to settle these claims.
  2. Just to clarify - how many miles has it done completely. 72000 when it was imported and another 30k odd here in the UK...is that right?
  3. Well done mate...congrats... hope it does you proud for the time-being!
  4. I'm sorry, but I don't like it at all I could make many comments but I just can't bring myself to do so... It's a bit frustrating for me to see such an install after I have done so many. I'm really passionate about ICE systems as I have done them for 17 years in various cars as a hobby for my own cars and for friends. But this is just not right to me.... Everyone to their own though I guess! If you like it and are happy with it then that is what counts...sorry my comments are not so positive but they are honest at least IMO.
  5. Apart from the New speakers (decided to keep these) and the car stereo, everything is going to the rubbish-dump. So if anyone wants anything for FREE just let me know I also have a few printers too and loads of other PC bits.
  6. What the F*** is that all about...that can't be right
  7. YES Jake, Natalie, did you get the email too?
  8. Patient: Doctor..Doctor..it feels like everyone is ignoring me. Doctor: .....Next! ......... Paddy and Murphey walking down the street, Paddy falls down a man-hole. Murphey: Is it dark down there? Paddy: I don't know I cant see!
  9. If it makes you feel better I just got an email from a friend of a friend to say that their new born baby has brain cancer' and they have sent pictures in the email which are heart breaking so they have agreed with AOL to distribute emails and give proceeds to the family. BTW how much is a hair cut nowadays? I have never paid for one in my life!
  10. The warranty is not with Main Dealer, it's a private dealer - (should have clarified) they are very helpful but I just don't have the time and I need the car everyday - it's a 1999 E46 323i
  11. I'm eager to get it fixed, I'm going to be working this weekend so I'm off to get some anti freeze now You know what they say "IF YOU WANT A JOB DONE PROPERLY THEN DO IT YOURSELF"
  12. BUMP Found some good info on the net re: coolant change and I will also be replacing the wishbone bushes too next week on both BMW's:)
  13. I had some wierd issues with the BMW last week regarding the Heaters (not blowing hot) and also the car started to run a little wierd (plumpish) for a few miles while driving then it went back to normal, it happened twice in the space of a few days. I opened up the bonnet and found my new air filter had fallen off, so this solved 1 problem, I now put the original back on and its fine and running really smooth again. I am 100% sure that the problem with the heaters is an air block somewhere in the coolant system, there must be air bubble somewhere, I have tried to solve it by letting some air/pressure out and it seems to have worked and the heaters now work alot better but only when i'm driving fast, when stationery the air blows luke walm/cold. The car has never overheated and has always run on normal operating temperature. Its still under warranty so I can sent it to the dealer to sort out but I can't be asked to take it in, so I thought I would just do it myself and do a proper job. I don't think they put anti-freeze in and just put water and thats why the sensors are not working when they supposed to. They had it previously for 4 days but I don't think they spent enough time on it to solve the problem so I requested the car back as I needed it. So I am going to do a coolant flush/drain and refill and hope that it will fix the problem. Any advice anyone can give me on the coolant change before I start it later today/tomorrow morning would be great. Thanks
  14. I would sell my E46 323i se for £3000 if someone came with cash tomorrow. So I think your asking price is slightly too high. especially in the current economic climate. Its a bad time dude to sell cars everyone seems to be skint! Wish you luck though - hope you find a buyer for it soon or even I hope the buyer finds you;) it took me 3-4 months to sell the Supra and I wish I didn't in the end. It seems like the same situation with the BMW.
  15. I now mate...I wish you luck selling it..it looks like a decent one. TBH though IMO its over priced a little bit....my neighbour recently bought a mint 1998 328i coupe in white with 80-90k miles on it for £800 and its got really nice alloys. Personally I would never buy an E36 model BMW but thats just me.
  16. You all had your chance and now it's sold Wish my BMW would sell as quick as this;)
  17. It seems as from when I wrote off the BMW, the car situation went downhill. But Im being very patient...and expect that my next one will be frightfully better.
  18. TRUE - I think the Supra has more character IMO. I was actually quite happy too about the new owner, as he spent quite a bit more on it straight after I sold it to him, by adding a leather interior and also spending quite a bit to get it regsitered so I hope it's still in good condition.
  19. reminds of another mistake I made, by not buying the BMW back after I wrote it off. I bet someone fixed it up and it's out there somewhere or maybe they stripped it and made a nice little packet on it, which is what I should have done.
  20. I was never too fussed with the fuel for the Supra or any car really, I always use V power whenever possible. But saying that, the new air filter I just put on the current BMW sounds really good and gives better performance, however I decided to uninstall it as I was losing at least 8-10mpg. So it's back to standard operation.
  21. As some of you know I sold my N/A supra several months ago which was absolutely mint and to this day, I still regret selling it. Everyone that sees me about still asks me about my Supra or my 328 and if I have still got either of them...where are they?:The BMW was an amazing car and I don't think I have ever got over writing that off also, still to this day!...I have nightmares about it sometimes and start twitching just thinking what a beautiful car I lost. So from a 2.8i up to 3.0i, down to 2.5i now is really frustrating not to mention the quality of the previous cars to what I'm driving now. I know I'm probably being a little pety, but does anyone else regret selling their pride and joy and wish they hadn't? And for those people that said you would regret selling it......you were right Hindsight is a wonderful thing!
