  2. She lives on her own and i suspect no oil has been put in at all. She lives in Raunds Northamptonshire, is silverstone garage the only local place to her do you know, where does she start inquiring? about this type of job, sorry for all questions, just trying to help her out.
  3. Just had a phone call from the ex wife (separated 18months ago) she still has the supra and tonight on her way to see a friend there was a big bang and the car stopped, she says there is oil everywhere over the road and smoke came out the bonnet:blink: RAC is on its way to take her home and the car, question is this......... if she has totally ruined the engine, what is the best option and quickest fix? Things are getting her down at the moment, last wed she got an eviction notice through from the courts as her landlord has not been paying rent for 18months, long story but she has to move out on the 2nd of April, was originally 26th this month. Is she better to sell the car as is or fork out the costs on a new engine and then try sell it? It an NA areotop in black. Really the car is wrong for her and a little run about would be better. Any advice would be appreciated. Richie

  7. I agree and also going after the killers of "beckham" don't really think that would happen.
  8. i thought it was an alright film, just a pity they "hollywooded"it up for the movies, but then i suppose if it was made like the real thing it would be very long winded and not a lot of action. Richie
  9. Have you not seen that clip in Gremlins where the old lady gets in the stannah stair lift!!
  10. On the news they listed his injuries and then said his condition was "comfortable" well......... i beg to differ! LOL
  11. thats what i am liking, had an astra van before, its nice to be sat up higher and seems to drive really well, it has 2 captains cheers up front as opposed to a bench seat, both have arm rests to make life comfy!
  12. yeh i empty it of drills and tool box and test instruments at night, its a 5 speed manual, bad news on your box slipping.
  13. Got my new van at the weekend, well chuffed, its an ex water works 2.5tdi came with the racking in it, the guy i brought it from was going to use it as a day van so it was him who lowered it and added the alloys, i fitted the racking on sunday as well as started the carpeting, just got to finish it off at the weekend. Its done 75k and has full service history, body work is in good nick and the interior is pretty clean. I am sparky by trade so its going to do me just fine i hope, also do triathlons so its going to be handy traveling around with the bike in the back and sleeping in.
  14. nice bike mate, i ride a Planet X Stealth for my triathlons, road bike is a trek 1.2!!!!! bloody heavy but does the job during winter and then you appreciate the speed of the PX Hope toy enjoy riding it, did you order via the ribble web site? on the tri web site i go on there are a few having problems with customer service, has all been ok with you? Richie
  15. Cold tyres chew up like that when you have it cranked over on track days, mine do it all the time, i run BT56 on my blade, saying that hot weather will do the same, although because it was last weekend the cold option is the better bet. Still a little more to get it over yet though:p:d You'll be addicted now, i love them, lot safer than riding on the road, plus run off areas rather than signs and vehicles. When is your next one? 17. Had an idea, well taken it from another site i go on. There seems to be a lot of people recently losing jobs or looking for work, would it work?????? where people on here that are either looking for work or can offer work could post up a thread? maybe a section for just that? At least then we would look after each other first! Thoughts? Richie (Electrician looking for local jobs)!!
  18. just cut the end off that goes into the drill, no need to mess around with re sharpening the other end, de burr it with a file and jobs a good un. Richie
  19. Was just going to post that up, very funny!
  20. Segregated (Sp) trunking will do the trick run the power cable in one compartment and the AV stuff in the other, the distance is minimal so you shouldn't get any interference. Richie
  21. Agree with Michael on this one, it suits the dark sense of humour us squaddies have, no harm done, IMO Richie
