  1. I do stick up for the auto box as I know it is no slouch and it is definitely not something to laugh at, I am just sick to death of every auto person saying its faster than manual gearboxes or its better than manual, regardless if on track or not. I have never come up against a like for like supra in an auto faster than mine on both a standard NA and standard TT. When you account for modifications, then that is a different ball game all together.
  2. There are a few mods that can be done to the autobox. I think it was DavidP who made the hybrid gearbox
  3. The autobox is also being controlled by an ecu designed not for speed or fast gear changes but for emissions, longevity, smoothness so on and so on. Manual, you can hold the gear longer, which we all now makes it faster otherwise ‘manu mode’ wouldn’t do it. Apart from a drag set up, I’m yet to see an auto actually be faster than a manual.
  4. I would definitely say that the auto box is seriously under rated and usually slated by people who have no idea about them. And if anyone says different, slap them.
  5. This is just like asking which hair style is the best. Regardless of any "reasoning" people use, it is all down to personal preference, no if's or but's. I have had several different versions over the years and loved them all for different reasons. Whether I have been stuck in traffic, town driving or hooning across Europe, I have loved my 5 and 6 speed manuals. However, I loved driving an auto on the occasions that I did. It is very subjective and all depends on what you really want to feel comfortable in. Best bet is to drive them and see how you feel about them.
  6. As above, moisture is in the car. Silica gels are great for it, and so is cat litter
  7. Nope, just don't like seeing people trying to rip others off!
  8. That is fine with me mate, I'm sure many members here would do the exact same if the supra was local to them. Just let me know
  9. That isn't helping people out as you keep trying to claim. Nor was that "customer" happy.
  10. No worries, If I remember that rightly, that guide should cover everything. Just need to remember it is several years old now. If you want, I'd be more than happy to accompany you when you go to view the car?
  11. Cracking guide right here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?67644-What-to-check-when-buying-a-Supra
  12. I haven't had a car imported by them but I have been to their unit several times and had work done by them and been with mates. They are not far from me and they do have a very impressive import list and their cars were nice.
  13. That was on his price request post. If he isn't a trader and its his English that is confusing, I will hold my hand up and apologise for accusing him of being a trader. I still stand by the di** move in selling parts to someone else even though he received the funds first.
  14. If it was a case of a gentlemans handshake no one would have battered an eyelid, it was the case of the item had sold and Dzowani received the money, then decided to go with a different buyer was the problem, hence the fiasco. Doesn't help he's been removed from the selling pages on faceache. And the case may be that he is just parting out spare bits from a car he is building, but he isn't explaining himself very well, especially as he keeps referring to his customers and that he will have another supra to break soon. Plus his attitude and the constant swearing.
  15. I was thinking if it had broken during the drive, none of the auxiliaries would have worked which would cause other problems. - - - Updated - - - When you say wont turn over, is it cranking or is there nothing?
  16. Crank pulley fallen off/in bits/two halves have separated?
  17. Delivered this morning cheers hoff. Perfect member great jacket too
  18. Lovely guide for you on this very forum lol http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?249089-Supra-Brake-setups
  19. Check nuts and bolts make sure none are loose. Check bushes and arms A crowbar would be handy.
  20. You’re just upset because you’ve been caught out. And no I won’t keep it to myself, because if I did you would still be acting in the same way!
  21. I have issues? You seriously don’t see anything wrong with what you have done and then have the audacity to claim you’re trying to help members out. You’re a deluded fool.
