  1. OK...Ok...hands up! Be gentle with me..I have done worse..ie Called the AA out to fix a problem I had with the company car - an Alfa The clutch kept sticking in the down (depressed) position The yellow flashing vehicle duly arrived - and he stepped from the car 'can't understand it' - says I 'checked the cables' 'it's intermittant - and happens when I'm driving' 'everything else is fine' I continued The burly and knowledgable gent nodded sagely and in comforting words softly spoke 'OK sir - lets take a look' Opened the drivers door and... Removed the floor mat that had slipped down the footwell and had wedged up against the pedal - stopping it from springing back! He looked me with one of those 'shall I help you park your Fiat Uno, Madam' looks OH MY GOD! The embarrassment:stupid: Anyway - can anyone beat it? Please say yes! Yours in blondness! Paul:moo:

  4. OK - daft question please guys (hence the 'franglaise' - hoped it might sound bit more 'mysterious' and worthwhile) Can anyone please point me in direction of the fuse for the windscreen wash motor for the front Cannot find blockage in tube - and no sign of 'whirring' from the engine bay - so presume must be fuse blown (or knackered) Rear washers work though Cheers Paul:cool:

Also looking to get a second hand one - and need to know whether these are Supra specific or universal (as is claimed) and how difficult to fit/adapt if it has been on another make of car For instance will the Blitz - coming of a JZ1 engine (Mark 111 ?) easily go on to mine? Many thanks Cheers Paul:cool:

  20. Just to post an update for posterity - and if it happens to anyone else Having nearly taken the rear of the car to pieces when this smell appeared... The problem appears to have been caused by... would you believe it... wait for it, wait for it... the Petrol Pump size limiter (SVA required?) i.e. the thing that is fitted inside the petrol cap to ensure that only unleaded petrol pumps can fit It seems that the internal fume vent was blocked by the sheath of this thing - as it's only 15mm or so inside the entrance. AAARGGGHHHHH! I presume that this caused build up of petrol fumes that had to escape - but lord knows how it works - anyone got a diagram? Anyway - seems to be cured for the moment (everything crossed) Will keep updated - but knew you couldn't sleep for worrying! Cheers Paul:cool:
  21. Paul How did this go in the end? Cheers Paul:cool:
  22. From supplier in states I queried the high impedance on 550's but confirmed they were Paul:cool:
