Insurance is very bizzare. My R33 with 420bhp cost £1800 Same company quotes for my supra with similar mods for £925. I don't understand. I'll also add that when I got the quote for the Skyline I was having a play about and got a quote for a Porsche GT3 which was £810 and a 911 Turbo for £950!! vely confused

It sounds more like the moisture in the air than a head gasket failure. If the head gasket has gone then you'd get other signs like creamy build up on the dipstick, water loss from the coolant and pressurisation in the header tank. I'd err on the side of caution for a while and keep checking you oil condition and water level. Oh and it would be wise to change the oil too.

Yes they do. My mates is constantly having gearbox woes. His engine seems to be lasting quite well tho and he's manged a 13.6 down pod without too much effort on the launch (for fear of the gearbox ) running std everything apart from 1 bar of boost and no cats. -
Almost bought one of these a few months back. Great cars but like previously stated cost a bomb to fix. I think they can have gearbox issues too. You could think about an A8 though as they are ridiculously cheap now and I don't think it's possible to get more car for your money. On the Toyota side of things have you thought a Altezza, maybe with the Beams 220bhp engine? That'd be fun...

So it has not so much to do with the Actuators but more to do with the wastegate size? So changeing the actuators to ones that open lower would have no effect? What is the solution running stable boost without a restrictor ring... changing to hybrid turbos or all together new turbo kit?

From other pictures I've seen of the GTR I actually like it. It is similar in shape to the 350Z (uses the same floorpan) but beefier. I deffinately think that it will be something that grows on you and it doesn't help with all the black stuff stuck to it.
