Not really into EVO's/Imprezas and I don't think even the radical new designs may help. The new GTR however would be nice but as with the new Supra or RX7 they're gonna be vastly out of my price range for a long long time. I see your point though and hope this new revolution in jap cars wont just be limited to the above models.

Is it me or is the Japanese sports car industry going stale? I mean look what cars were around 10 years ago, RX7, 300ZX, Supra, GTR, EVO, S14, GTiR, NSX etc. The only thing to buy now are 350Z's and RX8's, whilst being nice and all they seem a bit tame compared to the bad boys of the past. You could say EVO's and Subaru's still but they've been done to death and I've lost all interest in them.

Ok I'm getting my supra in a few months and I plan to do a few mods to it straight away. I'm new to the Supra but not to general tuning so please excuse me if I seem to be missing something and feel free to correct me wherever necessary. My query is regarding the turbo actuators and what boost they are set for without cats & restrictor rings? The reason I ask is that surely it would be more stable, less lag and maybe even more power to get actuators that are set at 1.2 bar lets say than to have a restrictor ring control the boost? Yup. I've got a fair few but like you I don't tend to watch any of the ones I own. I can stand looking at my collection for ages trying to figure out what I want to watch but then end up watching nothing. I rectified this problem by joining Tesco online DVD rental. So now I get to watch loads of films but not fork out a lot of dosh for it. It's especially good for series' like Lost or prison break which would cost summat like £40 for the set which I'd only watch once.

The "ch-ch-ch-ch" noise as it were is the compressed air within the system backing up and flowing back out of the turbos. You generally here this on light 'lift off' where there isn't enough pressure to open the dump valve. You would probably hear this fluttering more if you didn't have a BOV at all but then this could cause turbo stall or damage with high boost.

I went out in it not long ago and I'm very impressed. Seemed a lot quicker than I expected too. It's a beautiful car and I especially love the wheels and TRD spoiler
