This thread gets better and better

When I was in Prague a few weeks back there was an art exhibition on called "Earth from Above" - it had some good stuff and the pics are available on the net: http://www.yannarthusbertrand.com/yann2/ You see I really am a good lad nowadays and instead of doing the usual things in Prague I went around an art exhibition

PMSL now that's just ace, NWS but ace

Took my car to UPAuto in Notts today to have the Defi stuff I bought off Shaf all sorted out as we had a few wires missing to the control box when we'd attempted the install a few days before and didn't have a multimeter handy to locate the correct wires in the harness... Anyway, the Aristo has a bleed valve fitted to it to up the boost slightly, stock the car runs around 0.7 - 0.8 bar I think, well with the boost guage in situ it's peaked at just over 1.2 bar at WOT and seems to be constant at around 1.1 bar under pressure, or 1.2 bar with PWR mode activated. Definitely time to look at the fuelling and a proper boost controller next anyway! The thing is I think that both cats are still in place, so I'm not exactly sure what the power output will be, but I'm guessing it's none too shabby The only problem is I can't stop watching the boost guage now, never had one before so I'm like a kid with a new toy

The Aristo is a great cruiser, it's like having the power of the TT (albeit with a bit extra weight) but while you're sat in a leather armchair Another one you might like is one of the Lexus LS430's - that's supposed to be one of the smoothest rides you'll ever get in and they've got a bit of poke due to the 4.3L V8, also the older ones are alright too, the LS400's, with the 4L V8. As for other models you've got the GS, same as the Aristo but N/A, the RX which is the larger 4x4, and the SC which is the sportier (in a hairdresser way) car, basically the new Soarer.

Don't buy this - use the 250 quid on some bloody good tyres for your Supra instead of that cheap shit you were looking at
-
I use Charlesworth Motors a lot, they're near Glossop so not too far away from you, Steve there has done a lot of work for the people over on LOC, may be worth giving him a go? The tel # is 01457 864416
-
Hope you get this sorted pal, andit wasn't anything to serious. If you get stuck I know a couple of people on LOC who have done some extensive work on the Mk1 Aristo's - RobJonk and Norkep are good people to start with if you need anything
-
Has it got the stuff needed to operate in recirc mode?

Personally if I was you I'd save a bit more and get something better on there, I've got Maxxis tyres on the Aristo at the moment and they really are crap, lose traction all the time in the dry, just noit designed for the high power, have you looked into buying some of the Toyo's off eBay as I hear they can be gotten very cheaply off there. I'll be swapping these asap, they were on the car when I bought it but they're really not suited to the car at all if I'm being honest. The way I look at it yes you may make a saving on tyres but is that going to be worth it if you have an accident due to the tyres not being up to the job? My local tyre place was always trying to sell me the Vredesteins when I had my IS200, but now they've seen this car they've said as much as they push them and like them, they couldn't say whether the sidewall would hold out and therefore recommended I gave them a miss.

Went to Bulgaria a few weeks ago and that was ok. The resort was clean enough, just be careful of pick pockets in certain areas and you should be fine. Restaurants and bars are all clean, just the toilets that are minging at times, especially in Club XL which is on Sunny Beach where we stayed. Gross. We had a week out there and I spent 200 quid - not bad going at all I reckon seeing as we were out every night of the week on the beer!
-
That is a cool video - the thing is I'd have done her in the first place which would have saved them a few hours
-
My mate was on about that - it's one of the cars in the USA isn't it? Sounded like a lot of work when he was reading the modlist over the phone! It's why I like my Aristo, everyone assumes it's a boggo standard GS300, takes them by surprise every time! As for insurance I'm paying 880 with Adrian Flux and TTE wheels, custom Nurspec style slashed exhaust and bleed valve - no idea what boost she's running at but hopefully installing the boost guage tomorrow so will be able to finally find out
-
You want to go here then fella: http://www.visionexpress.co.uk You'll realise what you've been missing all these years
-
It's the same in Chesterfield. Just a bitch when you go out at nighttime to put it out and you can't tell which bins the neighbours have all put out as they all look the same under the orange lights - d'oh!
-
Yeah mate, used to have a bottle of Ultimate Insanity and Megadeath sauce on my desk at work. They sent me home one day as I went round the office giving it to people and they were all going home sick The megadeath seems much hotter initially but wears off quick whereas ultimate insanity sauce is a bitch and it takes 20 minutes to get feeling back in your mouth! At JAE a few years back we (LOC and TOC) had a bet for someone to hold a capfull of Ultimate Insanity sauce in their mouth for 3 mins, one of the IMOC lot did it I think and got 300 quid, they were in tears though, respect to them, I was pissed and tried afterwards and managed it but had the sauce pouring out my nose, if was horrible I tell you!
-
But they look the same apart from the kickplates and the different badging?!
-
Depends what you want really, I went down the Aristo route, and you lose things like factory satnav as the Jap stuff doesn't work over here, but you gain other things like the 4 wheel steering which is unique to the Aristo V300, at least on the MK2's anyway. After hearing some of the horror stories of Lexus services anyway over on LOC I wouldn't really be that bothered. If you're serious about an Aristo then may be worth speaking ot the guys at MKIVStore as I read they will go and check out Supras for you before you buy, at a cost of course, but probably worth it to get the thumbs up for an Aristo TT

I don't actually know what all the other bins I've got are for - black bin, green bin, blue box, yellow box, blue bag, red box, it's all confusing. Everything goes into my black bin, except for pizza boxes, and they all go in my green bin. Not sure if that's right but I want to see the look on their face when they empty a green bin full of pizza boxes, I keep inviting people round for pizza so I can complete my mission, in fact a few more should be here soon The worst thing I put in muy black bin was two traffic lights - I don't know where they came form, but they ended up in my front room and a week later in the garden!

Looking good, HID conversion kits are ace, paid 300 quid for my first one a couple of years back and it was shit, went through 4 bulbs and 4 ballasts! Just been looking at some US forums and the guys over there have done a floglight conversion with 3000k HID's - didn't even realise they did them that low but they look superb against the contrast of the 6000k dipped, kinda tempted myself, except I've only got one foglight on the Aristo to expose the SMIC so it's kinda a waste of time!

All you need to know is that the Ferrari is going to get you some serious fanny action. Who cares what it looks like, it's just an enabler for pussy. The Ferrari is a winner every time
-
I went in there yesterday and asked if they did spicy Zinger towers - had them before and never even noticed they were spicy! Gonna have to get myself another bottle of Ultimate Insanity sauce, that stuff rocks
-
That's actually the best way to do it mate - anything carbonated only makes the pain worse - coke, beer etc. I find that if you even just drink water it makes the pain worse and you just sweat it straight out. Best way is not to drink and then at the end neck a pint as quick as you can to rehydrate yourself
-
Yeah they're good mate, I bought mine from Play, they do the official ones, they're quite addictive little things. Good for sports injuries and the like, just builds up strength in places you wouldn't normally use unless you isolate those areas down the gym. I got one for my arms after i was diagnosed with something similar to carpal tunnel, except I've got it in my legs too, so thye did the op on my hand and it's made knacker all difference except I've got two lifelines and my hand still goes numb. Then again on the bright side at least I don't have to sit on it anymore
-
I got one of these to try and help with my carpal tunnel syndrome, like a twat I got excited and knackered my shoulder up with it on the first day! To be honest though when you get into it they're quite good, really hard work to get to the high speeds though, think I managed 11k or something before I got bored of it!
