I would be worried because even if you were to get the money, transfer it to your bank withdraw it and have the cash sitting infront of you Paypal could still do a chargeback at the customers request and then persue you for the £11k through the courts etc... So not a good idea ensure he pays cash, cheque or bankers draft as bank transfer is just as easy to get back.
