  1. Thanks merckx good pics on the link but still can't see where the top bracket bolts on to.
  2. After finding out my Supra had a bodged SMIC fitted (full details here: http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=177574) I managed to get hold of a proper one so tried to fit it today. Basically everything that should have been there had been ripped out so the were no brackets there but managed to get hold of a set. The two side brackets fit in fine but I think that I'm maybe missing a part as I can't get the top bracket to fit anywhere where it could be bolted on properly. I thought it might be worth posting up a picture of where it needs top be bolted: http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/SMIC/SMICBracket.jpg The only place where it look like it might be bolted to is the bolt at the top of the picture however it doesn't line up with the other two brackets so I though I may be missing part. Has anyone got any info as I'm stumped.
  3. Looks superb, stock front + active spoiler still the best combination in my opinion
  4. Does that car ever get dirty James? Looking superb as always!
  5. Doesn't sound like too much of a problem if you ask me. Give it a good service filters, fluids and belts, charge and test the battery, pump up and check the tyres. Maybe be worth getting hold of a dehumidifier to get rid of a lot of the moisture build up inside the car. After that give it a clean up and the go for a blast out on the roads, she'll be good as new
  6. Never seen one but I reckon it'd look a bit tacky.
  7. Very nice! Wouldn't like to drive it on the roads in this country, especially in the wet.
  8. Still don't like it. The only way to mod a veilside bumper is with some petrol and a match
  9. I got mine resprayed about a year and a half ago from red to black. I had bought the car accident damaged so they also did a bit more than a straight respray as I wanted some of the panels aligned, doors de-locked, oem skirts on. Plus the mess of a previous diy spray job sorted out. The cost of the respray was £1,300 I really can't complain. I had one issue with the rear bumper which was down to the previous owner's bodged DIY re-spray. However they fixed it FOC. Whilst I do agree that in general you get what you pay for there are some good companies out there that don't cost the earth. The best thing to do is research the bodyshop have a look at other work they've done and speak to people who've dealt with them before. As for the results..... pictures speak 1000 words http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Respray/13.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Respray/10.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Respray/11.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/Respray/16.jpg
  10. 'kin hell would be suprised if no one got seriously hurt when the scooby crashed.
  11. Website is http://www.camskill.co.uk (no s at the end)
  12. A vielside kit costs a lot to put on, doesn't make it right though
  13. I'd still take that over what came from mine, at least yours was supposed to be in there.
  14. Bump, still in need for the stock ducting if anyone has one going spare.
  15. Ha ha I think you'll now have to agree that I was in greater need
  16. Well it's been a bit of an eye opener working on the Supra tonight, not in a good way. Bought jayssupra's Miami GT SMIC this week so in preperation for it's arrival I thought I'd make a start and remove the old SMIC. So got to work tonight and removed the bumper and came across a pretty horrendous sight. Basically I didn't have a stock SMIC sitting there I had this piece of sh!te: http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/SMIC/SMIC1.jpg http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/SMIC/SMIC2.jpg I've no idea what type it is (maybe a MKIII Supra?) to make matters worse it was basically held on there by the pipes and a cable tie!!! Whoever did this also made up this pikey pipe to make it fit: http://www.jwwebdev.co.uk/Supra/SMIC/Pipe.jpg I'm really annoyed I never checked out the state of the SMIC before. I only ever looked at it through the air vent in the bumper to see what condition the fins were in. I really hope my car's not been damaged by running this. Going to have to source some stock SMIC brackets and ducting now I'd really like to meet the "mechanic" that did this work, I'd find somewhere to stick his pikey pipe.
  17. As the title says, I'm looking for the stock SMIC ducting. Cheers Johnny

    What is this?

It's one of the horns, Supra has two. The 2nd one is down near the bottom of the radiator. EDIT: Damn you AndyT! P.S. Here's some before and after horn sound clips from fitting the premium kit. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=161618&highlight=horn
  19. CW getting a bling phone! He'll be fitting 19" chrome wheels to his car next
  20. Since I now know you're out for 16 hours Todd, I'll be round to your filling up a transit van Do you not think 16 hours to walk 50 miles is a bit on the optimistic side?
  21. Has anyone watched Elbow's performance at Abbey Road with the BBC Concert Orchestra? It's available on the BBC website and on the red buttton on Freeview. Absolutly superb, well worth a listen especially if you're a fan of the band. Here's a link to it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/event/elbow/ Grounds for divorce sounds amazing through a surround sound system

    Bt Broadband

Good move going to o2. I was getting a 3mb connection at home. Moved over to o2 last year and it's a steady 8mb downstream, 1.2 mb upstream. No download limits, cheap, reliable I really can't recommend them highly enough.
