Hi mate and welcome With £1500 you could take a standard TT to BPU which will give you around 400 BHP and a very nice reliable car The Auto box is good for BPU and will take around 450 BHP if well maintained and a cooler is added

Mine goes in Monday for a Full sevice and have been quoted 400-500 pounds with a cambelt and gearbox oil/diff oil so your quote is either very good or missing something IMO

I do remember a food fact from my studies some years ago that the earth could not sustain a full veggie population, there is just not enough space to grow the crops and the demgraphics of the popualtion is such that may would die of starvation do to poor crop yielding land
