A few mates and I have decided to have a bit of summer fun doing a few track days , so are looking to buy a bike suitable for this. Around 600cc, perhaps CBR or GSXR . Obviously doesnt need to be MOT tested or taxed, and it doesnt have to be pretty. Just has to go well, and be reasonably sound. Looking to spend less than 1k. Cheers from Carl

Good luck with the sale Gaz, and I can certainly vouch for the tlc that car received whilst I owned it. My missus once complained that I gave it more attention than I gave her, then complained some more when I applied polish to her forehead! Just cant please them eh?

Really looking forward to the season, especially Belgium, the wife and I already booked up for grandstand seats at Eau Rouge. Gonna be Kimi to win I reckon, now well settled at Ferrari. Watch out for the odd strong run from JB, and even DC, the masters of smooth driving. They should both go well in changeable weather with no TC. Love the comments about Ralph, how did he ever get a job as a racing driver? And on one of the highest salaries! Lets hope new (ish) boy Glock can do something for Toyota.

Went to a lovely village in Cornwall a few weeks ago. Its called Fowey, pronounced Foy. Lots of coastal walking, plenty of good pubs and restaurants. Recommended for a quiet time.

I was looking at buying one of these about a year ago, for a track day car, and £1500 doesnt sound too far off the mark, but if you can nail him down to £1200 it looks well sweet. Good luck.

Got pointed at by a mobile speed camera yesterday, but now am unsure of speed limit. So it was on a rural A road in a Mercedes Sprinter van, some people are saying limit is 40 and some say 50, anyone here know for sure? (I was doing around 47) Fingers crossed

Well just 2 more days of work, and then off to Spain on Thursday. Am already in holiday mode, got grandstand tickets at turn 1 at Catalunya. You will probably spot me on TV, the only person wearing a red shirt, next to the only person wearing a Honda shirt (thats the missus).

Packing today, we move house in a few weeks, with a weeks holiday in between. So time is fairly short. At least if I am seen to be willing, the Missus wont be too grouchy about my going to Thruxton tomorrow.

Ha, did anyone see Schumi trying to sell those little Fiat vans, he must be bored, cos he sure aint skint! I was disappointed with Massa, an unneccesary mistake, after improving so much last season. Do you remember the show "Thunderbirds", I reckon Kimi is one of em, he speaks without moving his face!
