As has been said, a UK spec car is your best bet as they cost a fair bit less to insure than TT's. Also there isnt much difference quote wise between an NA and a TT being both imports.

My car is a very similar spec to JB's, the only real difference being that im now using one of Arnouts cast manifolds.

Wasn't me, I am running a good condition stock SMIC. Good enough to get in the 12's at pod. When I first went single I put a post IC temp probe in, although I cant remember the exact numbers they were very resonable. My EGT's also very rarely hit 850°c although that has less to do with intake temps.

From what ive read, driving off road is illegal and your insurance will be void. Basicly I need to know if the main ring road around the outside will be mostly passable, as far as the large glacier to the south east and toward the north from reykjvik. Any ideas on the price of fuel? A land cruiser is going to be thirsty.

Thanks Gav. I know things are expensive, but we are only planning a short break. I did read on the net that petrol and diesel are very cheap compared to here but I only found the one source of info and havent been able to confirm it.
