Agreed If you need DX10 then I would spend £70 more and go for the 2900 Pro

Who will Drive there pride and Joy in the winter...
MrHanky replied to suprafan72's topic in Supra Chat
Will probably use it more than my second car through the winter. Second car is really for tip runs, jobs and when the weather is really really crap. -
I don't know a lot about this stuff, but for the past month everything I have read about graphics cards says that the following is best value for money card out there http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-064-OK&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=404

Thanks Kev. Keeping them clean is going to be tricky

LMAO, it was getting dark when I took the pics so the flash made them look very bright.

They don't feel much lower, but having said that I have only driven in them a couple of times so far. They seem to take up a lot more space than the standard ones, but thats all I have noticed so far. They are a good compromise for me as they are quite comfy (a bit hard but I dont mind that), hold well and accomodate a middle age person who is letting himself go slowly but surely

Just the shoulder pad type things. I bought them off someone on here mainly because I wanted the little TRD pillows for my son to fall sleep on in the car. Look ok in the back though, brightens up the blackness of it Thats one of the reasons I got them. I had some red Recaro's in my Civic Type R and loved them. Also the wife has a DC5 Integra with the red Recaro's and that also encouraged me to get the red Brides

Thanks Matt and Babe. He will be starting Primary school. I am going to see if I can have a look round the three which I would most like him to go to. 2 of them are close (one catchemnt) and the other is out the way. Thanks again Mark

Thanks all. Each to their own with regards to taste . I love red seats, but they are already making me paranoid about getting dirty My little boy won't be eating chocolate any where near them Might get the stereo flush one day but at the minute im ok with it

Thanks and yes it is. I took it to car electronics to have fitted and also wire up sub and amp (I am useless with electrics). When I got it back it was installed like that. It doesn't really bother me but does look a little odd Thanks Ed

Ok, having just posted up pictures of my new seats etc, I thought I would post up about my buying experience from Nengun. Mainly for the reference of anybody thinking of buying from them in future, as I went looking for information about buying experiences and didn't find too much. I first placed the order for my seats on April 17th 2007. Along with the seats I also ordered MO seat rails as suggested by Nengun site at the time, and a few Mugen bits for Vicki. Now I was expecting a long wait for the seats (and everything in general), but I was ok about that as the prices were very good IMO. To my surprise the seats arrived just over a month later and there was no import charges to pay (good so far). Anyway whilst this was happening Nengun had got in touch with me to say that the MO's did not suit the Supra and or Euro II seats. OK I thought, they should know what they are on about (my mistake). So they order a different rail type and the wait begins. The rails eventually turn up in June but due to going on holiday and then having my appendix out I do not get a chance to fit them. It also doesn't help that I have no idea about seat rails at this point. So once I am all better me and Neil set about taking out the passenger seat and putting in a new Bride seat. The rails fit the holes ok but to our surprise the mounts are incorrect. It turns out that in Nenguns wisdom I would need side mounts for base mounted seats. So I talk to Nengun and they point out to me in the terms and conditions that I have 3 days to inform them of incorrect parts. I say ok, but the rails arrived a full month after my seats and a few days before I get appendicitus and go to hospital. Eventually we agree that if I purchase a replacement, then they will pay for shipping (its about a 50-50 split). Before I order anything this time, I decide to research Bride rails and after a bit of hunting around I find that the MO rails just have different mounts to the FO's. Makes sense really, why manufacture 2 different rails just to mount buckets and recliners, when you can just swap the actual mounts. Anyway I find on the http://www.tees-usa.com/ website that Bride sell the mounting plates seperately as they are often used to fit Recaro's or older Bride recliners. So after measuring all the holes on the rails I have and making sure that I think that they will fit I decide to go for these. I find that they cost about £30 and so ask Nengun if they will send me them FOC as shipping only costs £15. They say no, despite the fact that I did the research for them and and also the fact that if I ad ordered new rails instead, then they would of payed about £130 in shipping charges. This I feel really let them down. The fact that they made such an error in the first place (mounts for buckets when I ordered recliners from THEM), and then not even make a token gesture when the customer has been waiting and researching things that Nengun should know in the first place, really annoys me. Anyway it is all sorted now, and whilst I am annoyed by there lack of product knowledge and also their attitude towards the customer, I would still probably use them again. Their prices are good and delivery times ok. I will always double check what I need myself though and basically treat them as idiots because of this. Oh and always check the goods straight away (within their 3 day limit). Lesson learnt and I hope this helps others in the future. Their website still says "PLEASE NOTE MO RAILS DO NOT SUIT THE TOYOTA SUPRA JZA80 ONLY FO TYPE DO" I will try and convince them otherwise but won't hold my breath. FO's are MO's but with different mounting adapters. Sorry for the essay Mark

Well after months of waiting for correct seat mounts (I will post seperate thread about Nengun experience) I finally have my seats in. Also since buying the car I have added the following: TRD gear knob Momo Race 3000 steering wheel Dial surrounds from MVP TRD seatbelt covers for the back as my little boy thinks they are cool (I actually think the look ok in the back) Bride Euro II seats Alpine 9850i head unit HKS EVC 5 boost controller I spent yesterday fitting them with the help of my brother Cable (thanks Nelly) and also took the dash apart so that I could relocate the boost controller screen to just below the stereo. Anyway it is all done and I am very happy with how it looks. Only thing to add to it all next year is new dash panels, oil pressure gauge and hopefully a blue led upgrade as the green lights look a bit faded at night. Sorry about the picture sizes. Before Before, but after stereo change and after

I started thinking about a retro project recently but then decided that I needed to wait until I had some spare money. The Datsuns are stunning but I found myself wanting either a Toyota 1000 (after reading Jap performance a few months back) or a 1983 Toyota Starlet. I really like the Starlet and though that it had good potential. One day I will hopefully get a chance to have a little project.

A tale of what happens to an unscrupulous and underhand trader.
MrHanky replied to a topic in Supra Chat
Sounds like a complete tool. Just for reference if any newbies come across this thread. Nic is excellent with regards to price and service. Had a damaged product from him before (damaged in post, it was clear to see how it had happened) and he sent me a new one at his own expense. -
LOL, thats my next plan Thinking about moving in the next few years and if we do then it might be near to the school I would prefer Tom to go to.
-
Thanks Vicki I have been looking at some of these as well as OFSTED reports but have had various people tell me to take too much notice of the OFSTED reports. Tables suggest that the one I would like him to go to is best out of the bunch, but as mentioned it is well out of our catchment area and it would be a bit harsh for him when it came to making friends as they would all live it a completely different area. Had a quick look at the 2nd best option earlier when I went to get a form and it did look like a nice place.

The repost thing bugs me the most, but otherwise its a good forum with a few numpties in.

Well I have just started to think about which school my lad will go to next year and I have to say that im finding it hard to decide which one for him to go to. Now I am probably just being picky here but his catchment area school is in the middle of town and doesnt have any playing fields. The school is average / ok but the lack of grass really bugs me as I have such good memory's of dinner times playing football etc. Plus when it comes to doing sport, they end up walking to a high school up the road so that they can use their facilities. The next closest is only about 1/2 mile further away but in a different direction. Has big fields etc and really does look nice. Only thing is that its not in the best area, i.e. the some of the local parents are drugged up idiots ( i know this as I played basketball there for years and regularly had mobs of thugs after me for no reason). Now half of me says that its ok as its good to have a mix of different kids etc, and seeing as I came from a less privileged background (not well off but have / had great parents) I really don't like having pre-conceived opinions of people. But the other half of me wants him to have the best and that would be a school in a different village which has an excellent reputation. If he went this school I have no doubt that he would be better educated, but at the same time he would have no local friends and might not be as well rounded an individual. This parenting lark is turning out to be trickier than I first thought, especially when your a worrying mid age fool like myself Anybody else had / having similar experience(s) Mark

Hi, im no expert on computer hardware either but recently purchased all of the components to build my own for the 1st time. I used the overclockers forum to post a few questions and read up on whats what. Found it very useful, so it might help you. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/ Mark

Unfortunately mate I dont think its that much. 11k IMO. Note I am just trying to devalue it so that if you do sell it, I can buy it Seriously mate, I think that you could get 16k for it easily. You might get more but it depends on the buyers at the time and would probably mean waiting a while to get more. Please dont think about selling as the temptation would be too great for me

LMAO very good

Bump for you Nelly

My little lad loves them too. He's 3 but has been playing them since he was 2. I am trying to keep his gaming time to an hour a day during the week and a bit longer on weekends. He is a games addict but thankfully he still loves to use his imagination and play other stuff. Namely when he's not playing transformers on the 360, he likes pretending to be Transformers with me

Feel sorry for the kids most of all, and of course the family's who lost them
