  1. Ive fitted veilside overfenders to my Supra and have 19 inch split rims on the car to bet them to fill the arch ive used 30mm spacers but now when i hit a bump the edge of the tyre carches the overfender. I have cut the arches correctly for the ovrfenders and its just the actual overfender it catches. the car is quite low. I was considering taking the spacers to work and skimming 5mm off them on the lathe. i think this should cure the problem but is there any other solution.
  2. Chers for all the kind comment sguys. Im gona start on the interior next. I'll post pics up when I get started.
  3. As above. New or second hand but has to be in good condition. Cheers chaps.
  4. A bodyshop in Anfield plain in the Industrial estate. The guy is called Kieth Flint. Believe it or not he only charged me a grand for a full colour change and the paintwork is floorless.
  5. Cheers for all the comments fellas. Im really proud of what ive done. The only thing I didnt do myself is paint it. I didnt have the bottle to give it a go, (which was the right decision giving the finish of the paint job. Credit to the body shop thet did the work. The worst part was after I put the engine in and fired it up, it only lasted 15 mins ticking over and then cut out again. It turned out that after taking the engine out again and TOTALLY stripping it down I found that the engine I bought must have been standing in a breakers yard outside for ages as the pistons had rust on top of them and the head wad full of carbon, so the whole engine had to be cleaned and the bores honed. But on the other hand atleast i know that ive got a vertually brand new engine. Ive done a step by step progress on http://www.japnortheast.co.uk its quite an interesting read. Heres the link if anyone would like to check it out. http://www.japnortheast.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=15634
  6. I'll try and explain this the short way. 9 months ago my Supra engine packed up, so I sent it to Envy to be repaired as I didnt know what was wrong with it. It Stayed there for 6 months as they tinkered around with it. It turned out to be sticky valves. I got the car back home and it lasted 4 days and the same happened again. Things pointed towards the oil pump starting to pack up, as it starved the head of oil. I decided to have a go at sorting the thing myself. I have a mate with a garage who agreed to let me use one of his ramps to put a new engine in. Ive changed engines on XR2's but nothing like this, but if you dont try you never know I suppose. 1 thing led to another and as I put the engine back together I found myself spend quite a few hundred pounds with colin (Colsoop) on chrome and polished bits. So then I thought lets make a project of the thing. Ill sort the body work and get it painted. Ive fitted a du-luk front veilside skirts, spats, and overfenders and a TRD spoiler. all this was also done by myself. Then it was off the the bodyshop to be painted. I agian got the idea for the paint from Colsoop. I went for Banzai Blue pearl or Lambigini Blue as its also called. I got the car back from the body shop yesterday and just had to share it with you guys. To be honest I cant believe its mine. I never thought I would have a car like this. Heres some pics of the car as it is now, I hope you all love it as I do.
  7. Ive got a storm blue uk spec front (think its a facelift) and a rear spoiler also in storm blue. You can have them both for £120 plus postage if you want them. There so cheap cos there just taking up space in my shed and I just want rid of them. PM, me if your interested.
  8. I can easerly explain Daman The spark plug cover is self explanatory, the front of the engine has 2 smaller covers on below the spark plug cover. You would only need the cover behind the cam wheels if you are going to cutthe front of the spark plug cover away to see the m wheels. Heres a pic of my engine so you can see what i mean. Pic 1 shows the spark plug cover with a hole in and the front cover and pic 2 shows thecover which goes behind the cam wheels its painted blue. Hope this helps mate.
  9. Will try and get some up but me digi camera is on the blink, so cant promise anything. There in great condition but could do with a goodn clean. Bottom 1 is abit oily could do with de-greasing.
  10. These are surplus from a new engine I bought. I had mine chromed and they look great through an open spark plug cover. The condition is used but good. I misssed this out when i posted them. Postage £8
  11. I have all 4 covers i.e, spark plug, top and bottom timing belt covers and plate/cover which goes behind the cam pulley wheels. These are ideal for painting etc. Postage £10
  12. Holy shit. Ive started a mass debate just cos I cancelled a listing on ebay. At the end of the day they were mine and I can do what I want with them. I wanted £350 for them but had loads of emails offering me silly money for them. 1 idiot offered my £60 just for the skirts before I had any bids. Like matt said I know I can hopefully trust people on here and was sick of getting emails offering me pennies to end the auction.I got what I wanted so HAPPY DAYS. And may I add Roger got a bargin
  13. I need the above ASAP. Likwidart ones idealy.
  14. Just need rid of them as the car goes into the body shop tomorrow to be painted and I need the ash hence the price. So does anyone want them.
  15. I have the above for sale they are in storm blue. The skirts have a few scratches on them but will probably need painting to your cars colour anyway. These are genuine items so are made from plastic not fibreglass. These skirts are the ones in the pic of my car. I posted a set of skirts a few months age and it cost £42.00. So I would imagine that it wont be anymore than that. Happy Days.
  16. I never met Rik, but am touched by the write up. My condolences go out to his family and friends. R.I.P.
  17. Thats great news colin. Shiney bits are such an adiction.
