  1. Just listened to it again while doin odds n sodds round the house and I officially like it. I love Sorry and IRS the most I think, and although it's obviously not GnR as it should be, it's still a good album. Stone Sour 'aren't' Slipknott and if anything I prefer them so see what the follow up is like then condemn them lol.
  2. Yeah I'd go. I saw them bout 2 years ago at Wembley Arena I think it was. He has Skid Row and Bullet supporting them and Sebastian Bach did Perfect Crime with him. Skid Row were fookin excellent but Bullet were beyond awful !! Axl kept us waiting 2 hours like a dick but when he bothered showing up and had his roast dinner he rocked the roof off. It was great because he only had to sing which obviously sounded like he normally does and the band only had to play the instrumentals to the songs so it sounded just like any GnR concert.
  3. So after 14 years what does everyone think ? I know everyone is going to say it's not worth a 14 year wait...but neither would have Thriller in Axl's defense and that's the biggest selling album of all time. Also I know it's not the same without Slash, Duff, Matt, Izzy and/or Gilby but.... all the same what are your views ??? I think he should have dropped the name and come out with the album as his new album and band as Slash and co did with Velvet Revolver, then the music would do the talking not the back catalogue and/or members. In my opinion the title track isn't bad and a good idea to anounce the new album being as it is the title track. Also Better is kool as well although I would have edited it differently myself but overall a gooden. However they aren't the best tracks on the album - there are a few corkers by any standard such as Sorry, If The World and IRS. I must admit I didn't love it first listen but most albums for me need a couple of plays. I didn't think much of Death Magnetic but I have only listened to it like twice so it deserves a few more spins. Chinese Democracy though, Im on my 4/5th time and I actually love it now. I wouldn't say they're better than before because that was a once in a lifetime thing, but the new band are awesome musicians by the sound of what they've come up with for this album, especially Bumblefoot on guitar. Axl's vocals aren't as good as previous but he more than holds his own against current bands in my opinion. Not as good as say Myles Kennedy or Dave Grohl but that doesn't mean he's bad. I think after Appetite his voice wasn't quite as good but then the music changed and ballads like Dont Cry were done which he sang softly and well. Anyway the floor is open lol...
  4. BUMP C'mon role up role up - just a pound from everyone will reach the target. I know times r shit but noone will miss a quid and with everyone chipping in it'll add up due to sheer number of members. Im also contributing in other places but few quid here doesnt hurt also. In the summer im chucking myself outa of a perfectly good plane to get them more too.
  5. 'er indoors bought me the Babyliss i-Trim thing for Christmas. It's the bollox and cuts from 0.5mm - full beard maintenance apparently lol. I go for the rock star look now using it with nothing to do the neck and bout 2mm fuzz round the boat race. Does all i need with the one thing and no attatchments. Easy to clean n charges on a base once every 50 years or so so im happy as a pig in mess. It is £25 at the mo in boots so what else can u ask for.
  6. Not a problem guys, so long as it's coming from somewhere it all does the same thing. Many thanks to Andy T for his contribution and to those before him. I was hoping a pound from everyone would get the amount up but it seemnot so simple lol
  7. Ryan for me. Did a fantastic job on my single and he's a nice guy too.
  8. Doin ok, raised nearly £200 but still a long way to go - please have a goosey :-) justgiving.com/markeames
  9. Many thanks to all who have donated from the forum so far including Anthony (fat controller) Dan Mallin, Big Bloody Turbo and Supra Dan
  10. I think it's on in America but my mate has downloaded it somehow n is bunging it on DVD 4 me - yeay :-)
  11. EXCELLENT !!!! Knight Rider was my fave show when I was little. Being an 80's child I love the Hoff and Kitt. So excited when I found the new Mustang pilot on DVD in Tenerief and bought it straight away last February. The music change was balls but like some of the new effects they can use now. IMO it is what it is so enjoy it as that. It was good to see Hoff's cameo, I still think he's great lol.
  12. i agree, forgot about that one. Shame she was in last 2 but I did like Austin. I really like a bit of Audioslave and Sound Garden and I guessed it would be Cornell's version. Im deff gonna being checkin out the Holly thing cheers lol.

    X Factor

Did anyone see it last week with the Michael Jackson songs as their tracks to choose from ??? I know none of them could really do his songs quite the justice they seem to on other peoples songs but there were some bloody good performances all the same. That Austin's version of Chris Cornell's version of Michael Jackson's version !!!! of Billie Jean was fab and the black bird that sang I'll Be There right at the start was fantastic too. I dont' like the girl that sang last but I love Dirty Diana so I'd let her stay this week lol. Oh and sitting through it all is the Mrs idea but Im more than willing when that Holly Willoughby is on - 'slumph'
  14. When I was about 5 I was told not to run up the curly wurley slide in the park as other kids were coming down it....so naturally I ran up it, saw kids hurtling towards me, turned round and promptly lay down on thin air landing on the back of my head - div ! Result = nice scar on back of my head where brains were pushed back in ! At about 10 I went sprinting through the rope bridge thing on the side of the funhouse to find the roof lower than my head and a metal post crossing it in my way. My legs came flying out from under me and although the post was all padded up I hit it so fast I dont think it mattered any. Result = another head scar hidden by hair ! Couple years later I was swinging up on my arms in a cubby house we built at the end of the garden and kicking the plastic bag type roof sheeting to push collected rain water out. After about 30 seconds of that my leg swung down and lost a small chunk of calf on a nail or hinge or something. It was a clean rip and just looked like an old hole...for 15 seconds til half my blood supply gushed out and I started crying !!!! I now have a hang glider looking scar on my calf which is also hidden by fur ! My most triumphant accident though was at Paint Ball last year. Thinking I was Andy Mcnab I tried to save our losing game by dashing across a huge open kill ground dodging pellets like a pro only to stack it like a div and slide the rest of way on my knee cab. The clarret was impressive but I ignored it for the rest of the day and it was only when I went to the toilet in the pub a few hours later to clean it that I saw half of it was hanging off and when I say hanging I mean a huge chunk of my chicken like knee complete with hairs still in it was flapping by a bit of skin. I then went green n calmly walked out stating I was goin A and E lol. They stitched it back on which I though was grose and I now have a purple ring in the middle of my knee - sweet as all my other scars are hidden.
