  1. Just thought I'd post this up. My mum sent me the link to the trailer for the Michael Jackson This Is It film being shown in the cinema for 2 weeks only. Makes amazing viewing, Im sure this would have been the greatest live show ever put together if he'd have made it. All the new ideas and effects look genius to me. RIP Michael http://www.thisisit-movie.com
  2. I like the F+F Supra and think that shade of orange is beautiful, the only thing I don't like is the spoiler. Not a fan of graphics but Im sure with them taken off it'd look like a nice car. I think it's a bit unfair to call it dated when we all love stock supes (15yrs+), TRD spoilers ect and they're as old as dirt and done a million times but each to their own. Just for the record I want a TRD spoiler on mine :-) I'd love to see your KITT mate, that's my all time favourite car - 80's child ya see.
  3. On my old 'boy' cars I ended up getting the anti-theft ones that screw a little screw into the valve from threw the cap. With some pliers or a strong grip they'd probably still come undone but the little tards round my way never managed to take these. I did end up finding out the ones responsible by telling the kids as i saw them that if i saw my caps on their bikes they'd be in trouble and that stopped them going walkies after that so it's a combination of the 2 I think lol
  4. I agree with above, it's all down to prefference and how long you want to wait to find the right car. My ultimate Supra would be a 6 speed big single aerotop but i settled for a black 6 speed TT hard top and I love it...when it works. I personally don't see the point of having a non turbo as it is a supra not a fast ford and I didn't like the auto box but you should try driving all of them and see for yourself as the auto box is meant to be fantastic on a supra - i just prefer doing it myself.
  5. Yes Chef lol. Should be taking it apart tmro (sunday), not had the chance yet but don't worry I'll be ballsing up your day soon :-)
  6. cheers guys. No idea how easy it is to bung bearings in, I've never tried but he offered so I accepted lol. I don't think it will be any worse than the state it's in now and Econ's pretty clued up on his R34 which is a straight six also so i'm willing to have a bash. I can't afford to pay someone to do the whole thing so worse case scenario is it'll stay on the drive with the engine back in the shed for another year if I lose my rag and stick a socket through the windscreen :-)
  7. Hello all just wanted to see if anyone could point me in the right direction. The Beast is poorly again and this time Im fed up with people working on it, charging me a fortune and it going bang after a couple of weeks and denying all knowledge so Im doing it myself. Econ is going to help me and Michel Lane has kindly offered to come to the rescue again and plonk some bearings in it for me - leg-end :-) I was hoping someone could post any linkies to engine rebuilds etc - preferably plonker proof step by step jobbies but any help is help. The way I see it is if it goes bang I've only lost a couple hundred on parts as apposed to a couple of grand in labour - plus I might learn something - bonus. What dya think guys n gals ?
  8. Do you still have the bonnet ? How many monies if yeay
  9. Even with regards to doing less than a mile on boost ? That seems bo**ox to me mate, why would people ever bother if this was the case and how would tuning companies exist ?!? Tricky all your questions were answered earlier in the thread matey before Econ posted. All he's asking is would it be likely a bearing went taking everything with it or would it have been detected on start up or even by turning them round by hand in the block before reassembly ?
  10. One thing he wants to do is send off the crank to be remachined n balanced. Is this rubbish or nessecary ? Surely it's either scored or not and not something you do just to b safe
  11. The seal behind the fan gushed out oil and I didn't turn the engine off quick enough basically. Had a nice blast in it during the evening and later on while poodling at 30 I noticed my oil pressure was non existent and thus the nightmare began.
  12. Do you have a good bottom end ? How much would I be lookin at for one ? Also a fan shroud ?
  13. What sort of condition is the bottom end in matey ? How much would u want for it
  14. Who do you mean by 'we' ? Are you part of a legal something or other ? Also why would it make any difference what power the car is running ? It's not much for a single and surely a company should stand by their work if i've done relatively naff all mileage before it died. It did 700 miles under 3,000 rpm and had about 5 3rd gear pulls when being tweaked and that was it. Oh and the oil was changed after the 500 mile run in. I found I couldn't boost due to running lean because the digits on the AFR were off so it wasn't until the tweaking was done that I could. I didn't sign a disclaimer either.
  15. As the title says I could do with some advice on where I stand. I had a bottom end rebuild done at Kream Developments a few months ago and now it has gone again. After opening it up and having a look they're saying that a rod has bent and had destroyed everything inside including the bearings which they replaced in the original build. All I did was run it in for 500 miles then have Ryan G tweak it as it was running lean and on about the 5th run he picked up the noise in his ear piece that turned out to be death of it. What is the point of having a 500bhp + car if the f***ing things breaks every time I put my foot down !!! Anyway, they say it's down to me and not them as they said they didn't touch the rods at all so I'll have to fork out another 1500-2k whatever the cost will be even though I've only done 700 miles on the new engine ! A friend says he's talking bollocks to get out of redoing it as he's never ever known a rod to bend or break in a Supra and if it was to I'd need to be clearing 700bhp which I am not. Kream have also said the rod has bent due to over boosting which it also is not. Am I right to expect them to fix this or am I just stuck with a piece of shit car to let rott on the drive ? It's taking me another 3 months - 6 in total to finish off paying for the 1st build so I am in no state to pay for another even if I wanted to. I've been told to take them to small claims if need be but thought I'd bend a few ears from the experts first and see what the general oppinion is. Any help much appreciated guys as I am very ******* annoyed
  16. Yeah Ryan did mine, he's very good. I just wondered what everyone else runs :-)
  17. Alright guys - just wondered how much boost all you single owners run on stock internals ? What would you say was safe as it's not my every day car but don't want to blast everywhere on full chat all the time
  18. Probaby. Al Murray pointed out how we drew nice borders round oil fields that we found but weren't looking for and neither were they and how we gave them nice exotic names like Syria etc and they're still not happy ! lol Well put matey.
  19. British soldiers are the finest in the world. It's not solely about quantity although it helps, it's also about the quality and on that we can't be touched. Look at the number of U.S coming home in a box compared to ours. All the gear no idea. Give our guys their numbers and equipment and things would be much different.
  20. And and of course to the troops who are no longer with us - THANK YOU and rest in peace.
  21. I think Bob Shepherd ex SAS turned security contracter hit the nail on the head in his book The Circuit. Afghanistan is a shit hole, has always been a shit hole and will always be a shit hole. They have been killing each other over what we see as pointless crap for thousands of years and not only do I think the place is beyond saving but as he put it our guys are being used in the worst possible way. The only way progress will be made if at all is if they secure the ground first. There needs to be simply more boots (a f**k load more) from the rest of Europe not just us and they need to be given the equipment to do their job - simple as that. When and only when the ground is secure should they then start rebuilding the place and doing the hearts and minds stuff. The locals aren't a very loyal bunch of people, they wil side with whoever makes their lives easier and doesn't kill them and tbh who can blame them ?!?! The government are as corrupt as a high court judge and the ANP and ANA have people passing info to the Taliban to stripe up the troops so how can they expect to win. Not only that but the poor lads and lasses need to go into battle with one hand behind their back and a solicitor at their side and until these major things are changed nothing else will.
  22. How much should I expect to pay per corner for the Toyo's ? Anyone reccomend any other places apart from Camskill ?
  23. Lol alot of people said Falken 192's to me before that's why I got them - I don't know maybe it was just a lead foot period lol. Anyone rate Nankangs ? I had em on my Fast Ford batmobile wannabe and they were great but the 2 cars are so different I wouldn't base my choice on that
