  1. Well I found out how much these cost new... and needless to say, I'm still looking!! I'd be willing to do a trade for my front spoiler thats on at the moment - I think its a Bomex one, but thats just a guess from looking at other pics... Check out the link in my sig more pictures of it
  2. ^ Bump Will have to call into Toyota soon to see how much these cost new... hummm...
  3. A19 just before the A66 turn-off, around 8ish earlier tonight... If this was anyone on here, apologies for appearing to drive quite aggressively, there was a car joining on the slip road about to drive into the side of me, which is why I accelerated up behind you! Looked like I was looking for a race (maybe next time) Although you're car did seem very quick Chris
  4. I really like the 300ZX. I think it looks a lot more dated than the supra, but still looks good none the less. Been trying to learn a bit about them as my friend is looking to get one (either that or an mr2), however from what i've read, it looks like the upkeep will be too much for him
  5. Gave it a good wash and wax yesterday - the paintwork comes up really nice! So I took some more photo's, just on my drive again, but will try to get some more scenic ones at some point http://www.section-5.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10002/normal_IMG_2002.JPG http://www.section-5.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10002/normal_IMG_2005.JPG http://www.section-5.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10002/normal_IMG_2006.JPG http://www.section-5.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10002/normal_IMG_2009.JPG http://www.section-5.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10002/normal_IMG_2010.JPG Hey Keith if you're reading this, what does that button just below the mirror retract button do? I've pressed it, but nothing seems to happen... lol
  6. Standard Front Spoiler wanted in good condition please Also might be interested in the active spoiler if anyone has one of those - however I'm not sure how much these cost, so just testing the water with that request. Cheers, Chris
  7. Is anyone with Admiral? I managed to get a quote online no probs from them, but I'm using their multicar policy now which means I have to phone up (the person on the other end never seems to understand!) They had me insured on an SZ... phoned up to change it, and for the Manual TT import the girl on the phone said they only go up to '93, so insured it as just a TT so I could have it as a '96 - which gave me a refund of £80 over the previous SZ so I'm guessing they've now got me insured on a UK spec! Like I said, everything was correct online when I did it, including the 2997cc engine size, so just wondering if anyone else has managed to get insured with Admiral on a Manual TT Import? Edit: Just found this thread... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=73261 ...I need to keep phoning them
  8. Lol £40 seemed like a lot to me! DamanC, Keith said it was an optional Toyota splitter to match the side-skirts and rear spats? Homer, that is quite nice and subtle actually. My original plan was to have a completely stock body, with wide/low offset wheels and very low ride height (I've been influenced by euro style), but I quite like the factory skirts and spats now, so I'm not sure whether to leave them on or not - I'll have to see if they look out of place when i change the front spoiler. The pic attached is the look I'm wanting for the front
  9. Thanks for the warm welcome! Will get some more pics soon - and that front spoiler will possibly be up for sale soon as I'm more a fan of the standard ones tbh, although I have to admit it does match the side skirts and rear spats very well
  10. Hi Just thought I'd introduce myself, as I've now bought a Supra and joined up as a member. I've just bought a '96 Black Supra TT Manual from chiefvinso http://www.section-5.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10002/normal_IMG_1996.JPG http://www.section-5.net/gallery/albums/userpics/10002/normal_IMG_1997.JPG The "Section 5" thing is a VW club I'm a member of (used to own a Corrado G60) and I still use their webspace for hosting, hence the random logo on the bottom of the pics... Loving the supra so far! Can't get over how quick it is, and can't stop driving it, already used about £40 worth of petrol since getting it on Saturday! Still need to give it a good wax - weather hasn't given me a chance so far, then I'll get some better pictures of it posted up! Don't have any major plans for it just yet - Its certainly quick enough to keep me entertained for a long time to come, and I love the more standard look of supras (not a fan of bodykits or big spoilers etc.). Wanting to do a couple of minor things on the outside before saving up for some nice and wide 18" Wheels - going for the BBS LM syle, but hoping to not have to spend as much Any suggestions? Cheers, Chris
  11. I use a program called ConvertXtoDVD: http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/ Has built in DVD writing software too, so its all you need
  12. Cheers Jurgen, I sent you a message a little while ago about possibly importing a Black TT6. The only thing that puts me off the import process is the time it takes, however i'm sure i'll be hunting around the country for longer than 3 months anyway, so i will probably be in touch again to talk more seriously about it
  13. cheers, good to know. Its quite far for me to travel, so i just wanted to make sure it wasn't regarded in the same way Keighley Trade Centre is!
  14. Hi guys, I've been lurking around the forum for a little while now, trying to learn as much as possible about the supra before I buy one, but thought it was about time i actually posted I currently own a VW Corrado G60, which i'm putting up for sale this week. Once thats gone i should have around £7-8k to spend on a J-Spec Black TT (has to be black! ) My budget was a little higher before (around £9k) as i really wanted the 6 Speed, however I've decided to spend a little less on the car initially as I don't fancy sinking all my money into it. And now I'm considering the Auto too - everyone seems to rate them, so I'm going to take a trip up to Vine Place as this is relatively nearby, and see if they'll let me have a test drive of a few. Anyway, I've been keeping an eye out here for any possibilities that come up for sale, and also looking on autotrader. I keep seeing that a place called "Richardson Autos" that has various supras for sale, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them? I'm not usually a fan of buying from a trader anyway (as they have to make money), but it would seem that there are a lot more available from traders than there are from private sellers, so they can't really be dismissed. Thanks for any help, Chris
