    260 bhp n/a

I reckon he's simply assumed standard power + 5bhp for the light bits, 10 for the filter etc. and completely ignored the mileage and the fact that there is not a cumulative effect with his 'mods' Dick!! :)

£10k on mods and still got J-sec brakes :(
  3. Shape of the shell/floorpan means that the pedal box is offset in relation to the steering wheel/seat. Not uncommon
  4. It was fairly intense:d Way back in the early '80s when the corps owned Union Street:)
  5. The odd one or two down the 'street' The best one was when some of our lads got worked over by some club doormen and we ended up with around 400 guys dressed as spotty dogs (Arctic whites and masking tape) and had a riot - destroyed two clubs and had running battles with the hairys - CO of 42 on ITV news opposite the Mayor of Plymouth etc. etc. :d

    Headlights

HIDs = High Intensity Discharge lamps - much, much brighter than normal, halogen bulbs and with a cooler, clearer colour - usually from 4300k upwards (though the lower ratings put out more light/less colour). They're the things you see on motorways etc. and seem to flash blue. Yes, there's a difference between J-spec and UK bulbs (but not between N/A & TT)
  7. LOL we had some of that years ago in Plymouth - made the national papers and closed off Union Street:d
  8. Yeah that:d That was my response when I discovered a club manager I ran a door team for had got us to clean out the local dealers so that his mates could deal there - he insisted they (his wanker dealer mates) were allowed in, I said no, he said 'my club, my rules' so I popped him and left, taking the rest of the team with me. :d

  10. Yeah, and as soon as I get mine I'll be haunting there AND here (lifetime member now ) Fingers, toes and anything else crossed I should have mine by the end of the week - still waiting for the garage to actually get it from the seller (he's bought a newer Lexus and was waiting to transfer his private plate over). :d
  11. You tried Tamiya? So long as you're not too ham-fisted and can wield a small paintbrush you can get some pretty good results :)
  12. Cheers Nic - already joined (along with the Lexus Owners forum and the VAG forum) - not a great deal going on though - not like here:d

    Fugly car

Interlaced with nettles please:d Saw one of these at a classic car meet - didn't know whether to drive it or get the steaks out and do a bbq on the bonnet - horrible looking car

    Fugly car

Looks very similar to one of the old Marcos' things with that cattle grid thing on the bonnet:(
  15. And of course, he (and American car buyers in general) know all about styling and handling don't they? :p
  16. Can't help dude but....................shouldn't this be in 'wanted' not 'parts for sale'??
  17. cam covers are definitely ally :)
  18. Think the clue's in the title mate I got the general impression it was started as a discussion-type thing with no opinions either way originally expressed. Seems to have gone slightly off-track though (surprise surprise). :d
  19. (I'd better keep my head down then See sig.
  20. Hoping to join the list in the very near future - just awaiting a phone call to say that the car is actually at the dealers then I'm off to slap some money on the counter LOL :) (can't wait to get rid of the Passat)
  21. One of the few cars that look good in white (Supras, old school Porsches, Rollers, GS300s) - fingers crossed I should have mine real soon
