  1. Makes sense! If Porsche could have a go in the 911 (959) why not Toyota? :) Nice pics and stuff BTW
  2. Perspex window and lights in the tranny tunnel :d
  3. Looks good mate. When I did mine I cut round the wing floorpan (directly under the filter) on three sides to make a flap which I then pushed down. I then blocked off the hole in the arch liner on the left side (facing towards the engine) to create plenty of airflow to the filter. Worked nicely - filter was stone cold even after long trips :)
  4. Hi mate, Yeah, I've since managed to discover that it's a comon fault although it seems to have rectified itself at the moment . Any pics/how-to's would be much appreciated though. Cheers, Chris
  5. ...............and if you think Supra engine bays are bad you should try an S-type Jag!! I just spent 45min trying to retrieve a sidelight bulb that dropped down into the main headlight. I finally got it out with a wire coat hanger and some bluetac and a bucket load of patience:) only to promptly drop it somewhere outside the light and now can't see hide nor hair of the bugger:( From what I can work out so far, in order to take the light unit out I'd need to rempve the undertray, remove the front bumper, upper palstic trim and a few other bits. Something as simple as changing a bulb is near impossible if you're older than 12 years (tiny hands required) :( God knows how I'm gonna get my HIDs in there LOL
  6. LOL. I lost a 12mm allen key in mine!! Found it nearly a year later (after many futile searches) in the undertray:) A magnet on a stick is not much use if you can't even see the bugger!!!
  7. I hope so - I've been downloading it for the past hour - at 41% now . I'll convert it to .wma format and bung it on my PDA then I can watch it at work :)
  8. (Para shooter) I think he means the old Training Manuals (Battle Picture Library etc.)
  9. Colin, have you read John Humphrie's book ' Lost For Words'?? Bet you enjoy it :) I got a signed copy for Christmas last year and have read it three times so far:)
  10. Shouldn't thet be 'reading riting and rithmatic'?? :D
  11. They didn't have paper when you did yours - just slates and tablets on a Sunday:d
  12. :( but you're LOADS older than me:p :p :d
  13. Below A level we are not allowed to mark students down for poor spelling/grammar - only suggest that they might like to consider working on it:( What seems to be more important is that the students 'achieve' and for each group of students we have targets for achievement - if they aren't met it's our fault. The fact that one group are thick as pigshit or only did the course to get out of finding a job is irrelevant
  14. - never drink it - fish fuck in it:burp:
  15. LOL. I'd hate to see the standard of spelling, grammar etc.in a few years time:( Most of my A level, HND/Degree students find it hard to string sentences together to make paragraphs, never mind actually spell correctly:( I blame the education system and government targets - I've had who, apparently, have decent GCSE grades in English but can barely spell their own name
  16. I wonder how high you could get with a longer rope and a faster boat?????
  17. Dunno mate, but I've seen it loads of times now LOL Still looks like a right giggle :)
  18. Sheefa, are you sure it was an FMIC expansion tank you topped up?
  19. Well, as you have all guessed (read my sig. ) I now have a Jag. Since I seem to spend most of my free time at home (and sometimes at work too) on OC forums (GT4OC and now here) I figured I might as well find the Jag forum, register and enjoy some banter about the Cats:) Now, I had some mis-conceived idea that Jag owners would be more middle-aged, well-to-do middle class Radio 2/4, Guardian reading types who knew how to spell and write correctly (a fair assumption I'd have thought;) ). Well, THEY CAN'T:Pling: The spelling and grammar is as poor (if not worse) than some of the posts on here:Pling: and it really bugs me:( Now, am I stereotyping Jag owners and being a pedant because they can't seem to write correctly? Does it really matter? Is it simply a sign of the times? :search:
  20. LOL. Cars that require passionate, enthusiastic owners never work out as economic sense:( - if they did we'd all be driving second hand Kia Prides or something equally cheap and 'sensible' (??). That's the problem with nice cars - they always cost more than you think and make no sense at all financially:( But they stimulate the senses much more than something 'modest' or cheap to run :) You gotta pay for your fun!!
  21. Check your coolant levels first mate - that should give you a good indication of whether or not it's a BHG. As previously stated, second-hand turbos can be got for not a huge amount of money and not too bad to fit yourself if you're reasonably competent with the spanners - have a garage party and invite a few members along - bring a socket-set type of thing:) Keep your chin up mate - hopefully it'll work out in the end dude.
  22. Well, I gave it a bash on my N/A and noticed no difference at all!! Mind you, I had a habit of removing bits if I didn't see the point of them (charcoal canister, half a mile of wiring, lots of hoses, intake resonators etc.) All it really did (as far as I can tell) is tidy things up under the bonnet and make further tinkering easier :)
  23. Bike engines are exposed to the elements and get a helluva lot colder than a much bigger engine (producing more heat) and protected by bodywork will do. However, at the end of the day it's entirely your choice dude - the gains are probably minimal anyway so what the hey:d
  24. Used to get iced-up carbs many years ago!
