  1. Chris I'm interested in the above if DamanC doesn't want it now. PM Sent
  2. HKS Silent Hi-Power is a good one for N/A. In budget too.
  3. Mine is 330mm x 180mm IIRC
  4. Class One here in Lancashire the MID can be used at any time either via radio transmission to comms or one of the mobile data terminals and not the occassions which you have listed (probably quite rightly in the Met) Edit: However the mere fact that someone cannot produce an insurance document/driving licence/MOT at the side of the road is enough suspicion for a moving traffic offence and so there is always 'ways and means'.
  5. 1 - I got a filter from my local motor factors which I think was the same as UK spec (in stock as well) made by Blue print 2 - See above 3 - I use fully synthetic 5w/40 Valvolene (but i'm NA) so if your stuck perhaps just go for the best synthetic you can find. Again my local motor factors stocked the oil Have a look in the yellow pages and if you get chance pop to a local motor factor shop they tend to be quite good value.
  6. This is not strictly true, you have to prove that you are insured not the other way round. In Lancashire Constabulary now have the power to remove vehicles under s.165 RTA. If the officer believes that the vehicle is not insured then the vehicle will be recovered and only released when a valid insurance certificate can be produced. If the insurance company does not have your details on the Police database but you are insured the vehicle can still be taken away. If in this case the vehicle is insured that can be proved and so the vehicle would be released without having to pay any fees. Obviously unless you can prove at the roadside the vehicle will still be taken away. It is officer discretion but the power only lies with Road Policing Officers here and not section bobbies. Hope that clears it up.
  7. Sounds about right then. You taking it out for a reason?
  8. [sHOCK][/sHOCK] What unit is that for? Tom Toms and Road Angels just plug into the cigarette lighter.
  9. Was definitely Paul then I recognise the wheels. Tidy looking car
  10. Saw you parked on Talbot Road at 11am this morning and then again on Garstang Road about 12:30. Definitely a member as I saw the club sticker in your rear quarter window. I waved on Garstang Road but you didn't wave back

    need new exshaust

Definitely the exhaust to get if you're N/A. I had mine fitted just over a week ago at Hyper Sports in Wigan and it sounds awesome.
  12. Saw you driving down Vic Road West. Wasn't in mine as I had just parked up down a side street out of harm's way.
  13. Saw the yellow one whilst I was there. Whole dash was out last Saturday. Seen it in Blackpool once but don't know the chap who owns it.

    Fireworks!!

Do they celebrate belly buttons in Portsmouth
  15. Just wondering how people who have done the HID conversion go on then if this is normal operation on the Supra
  16. Thanks. Just considering a HID upgrade and wondered if the bulbs were able to flash like this. I take it you don't have any problems with it.
  17. Just checked my main beam flash today and noticed that the dipped lights and full beam bulbs flash together. Is this right as I haven't noticed it before?

    Bye bye TVR

Just looking at those pictures had made me realise how much i'm going to miss them being test driven around the streets near where I live

    Bye bye TVR

Wouldn't surprise me if production moved to a cheaper Eastern European country. Shame for the local area around here because the factory employs a large number of local people who are going to struggle to find replacement jobs now.
  20. It is only illegal in certain states of the USA to have an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. However although not illegal in the UK if the car was to be stopped and the passenger was/had been drinking alcohol I would expect the Police to breathalise the driver as their suspicion will have been roused. As has been said before I wouldn't allow passengers to drink alcohol in the car from a safety aspect more than anything. Especially a front seat passenger.
  21. From Hyper Sports and Racing in Wigan. I ordered it whilst I was there but they deliver IIRC. Ordered on Monday and said it would be with them on Saturday for fitting. Details are here http://www.hypersr.com or call them on 0845 225 0111
  22. Just looked back at this thread since yesterday I'd just like to clarify that the purpose of the thread was to recommend a garage in the North West which I personally felt were both professional and knowledgeable, which is rare t'up north. I certainly know how difficult it is to find a place like this and would just like to re-itterate how good my experience was with Hyper Sports. I understand that one person feels differently but as many one person said that it is the first bad press they have heard about the company. The guys at Hyper Sports have given their response which they did not have to and this is to their credit. As said before I will definitely be using them again and highly recommend to anybody. They have made themselves another happy customer in me. Cheers
  23. I've got a HKS silent hi-power on order which is being fitted on Saturday. I'll get some pictures and sound files as soon as I can so you can hear it on an N/A.
  24. I was admiring your motor whilst I was there earlier today. Looks well. Not seen it round the Blackpool area though.
  25. Yeah. Was well worth the drive even from the Blackpool area.
