  1. http://www.grille-tech.com as mentioned above. I'm a complete plum when it comes to anything technical and managed to install one in 10 minutes Really good quality as well they are.
  2. Worth a look but... My rear break lights go out if I hit the fog light switch to 'on' before turning the ignition on for some bizzare reason. Turn the ignition on first and all the lights behave normally!!

  8. Not about me sadly but one of my boys... He went out and bought himself a new (at the time) mk4 golf gti. He had it about a month or so and decided that he wanted some nicer wheels on it so went out and got himself a set of 18s' with tyres. Saturday afternoon came and he decided to swap em over. Jacked the car up and swapped out the drivers side wheels. Jacked the car up to swap the passenger side but decided it was a bit dark and would finish them in the morning, so just left the car jacked on the drive. Sunday morning comes, his wife decides to make some breakfast... oh dear... no bacon!! She promptly goes outside and seeing the golf on the drive blocking the garage realises she is going to have to take his car and not her own... you guessed it. She gets in the car and attempts to pull away minus two wheels!! Try filling that out on your insurance claim form without it sounding stupid!!
  9. For £15 they will give a guarenteed value, just specify your mods and send 6 pics to them (front, rear, both sides, under the bonnet and interior)
  10. Are the mounting positions in the same place as the stock Supra spoiler? Just wondering if I fitted one if I would require more holes to mount it put through the boot lid?
  11. Got 265/35/18s' on my rear and 225/40/18s' up front. Think the increased (if there is any) feedback from the road is probably just down to the larger wheel. Will try and up the tyre pressures a bit as well see if that helps matters....
  12. Okay than from whats been said I can happily assume you all think there kak!! I'm guessing I could buy a standard box that came off it from somewhere which by all accounts would be better, but I assume re-purcashing all that is needed to get it back to standard would be pretty costly? What would I need to purchase to replace it with something better? Just the actual mushroom part of it or more? Any links to what would be required would be cool.
  13. I would use the word more 'solid' as in feeling very slight bumps in the road. Will check the tyre pressures as suggested cheers. Been suggested 31-32psi all round on them and to be honest haven't checked em since they were fitted. Ideally need to find a nice new road with a good surface and have a play on!! I know with it being a low car with hard suspension you do feel bumps in the road a lot more than a car with softer suspension and a sitting higher on the road. It could have been like this all the time but not noticed/been bothered... typical woman mentioning something and putting doubt in your mind
  14. Fitted a set of 18s on my car a few weeks back (took some 17s' off). Have been driving it without any probs. However the other half was in the car last night for the first time since the change of wheels and her comment was 'why is the car all "wobbly" ' ?? Reffereing to the how smooth the car was running on the road. The roads aren't the best up where I live. I put this down to poor road surface, and nowt to do with the wheels (only change since she was last in it). She has got me thinking now that I may have a wobble on my new wheels? Got no vibration through the steering wheel or anything? I'm thinking just the hieght of the car and the hardness of the suspension just makes the car feel all the bumps in the road compared to what she is used to in her motor. Can't remember how the car felt with the other wheels on though, and her questioning it has got me thinking
  15. Just picked up on this thread... I got an HKS induction kit on my car as well (was on there when I bought it) and haven't though anything of it really until reading this thread. They that bad? If so why? Excuse my ignorance but I just enjoy driving cars and know little to nothing of the actual workings of one!! What I have is in the pic below. http://www.l1f3.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/engine.JPG
  16. Get this a bit on my passenger side front headlight and a bit around the drivers side window... gotta just be dodgy seals on both... tinyest gap is all it takes i guess.
  17. Have had a few machines do this recently with spyware on them. Lets you ping, tracert web address but won't actually connect to any web pages. Another thing would be to try a sites IP address instead of the name to see if that connects, also had this with spyware and had to remove the spyware and then run the winsock 2.0 fix to sort it out.
  18. Try here mate for some reason the above link has stripped out the www. bit http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=50803&highlight=crashed+supra
  19. All is well again After doing a load of searches I came accross something I thought worth a try... My rear fog light has ben wired into my back light cluster, as opposed to a box screwed onto or mounted into the bumper. I must have caught the rear fog by mistake and turned it on before I turned the ignition on. After a bit of playing I've worked out that if my rear fog switch is depressed before I start up I get the warning light and no back brake lights. Howerver if the fogs are off, I turn the car over, then switch the back fog light on the fog works fine as does the brake lights... very bizzare, must be the way it has been wired up
  20. Sadly had to jump start my car today. All went well (used an external battery pack style jumper) to try and eliminate any spikes I have read some people have had probs with jumping car to car. However realised when I pulled the car out the garage that I had the amber (pic of a car and lines out the back) warning light on. ested all the lights and realised that my brake lights are off altogether, so sadly to little jaunt for me this evening. Looked at the fuse box under the bonnet and couln't see a fuse relating to brakes (am hoping it is only a fuse). Looked around the forums here and found there is a fuse box in the drivers side kick panel. Looking at this the only thing I can find remotely to do with brakes is the fuse marked 'STOP' which is 15amp. is this the right one for the brakes? Also is a blown fuse the most liekly cause? Indicators, fog light, side and main lights are all fine, just the brakes off. Any help appreciated.
  21. Noticed today (while checking clearance on full lock with my new wheels) that on fulle left lock there is a wierd kind of hissing air noise made by my PAS pump (or at least around that area). Doesn't do it on full right lock at all. This normal or something on the way out? Ta muchly.
  22. Just realised where your located as well mate. Give these guys a try... very very reasonably priced and local to you http://www.clean-image.co.uk/contact.htm
  23. My point Seen a guy do two pin dents on my back quater. Drilled a little hole, then used poles to ease the dents out, took him about 40 minutes or so. The only reason I would never try this myself is that if the paint is not cracked (obviously this has to be the case for PDR to work) then you run the risk of cracking the paint if done incorrectly.
