  1. Anyone know if there is anything I should be aware of when removing these? Need one to come off to be plastic welded from the back. They held on with more than just the bolts? ie tape down the centre? OR is it just a case of try and get them off and see?
  2. I got one fitted to mine. Just dropped the undertray from the car, mounted it then popped the tray back on again. Was quite a long job just with having to take the tray off and on... millions of bolts, twenty odd I think, some in some nice hard places to get too!! Can't wok out from you pic what I'm looking at to be honest. But the front of the undertray had 4/5 bolts which came from the black plastic lip in the mouth part of the bumper (where you have marked 'god knows where these go'). There was also a counple of star type studs to stop this plastic part being removed after the nuts were out.
  3. Ordered from mytyres.co.uk really good service and really fast delivery
  4. Bought mine, '93 with 49k miles on it. Got it checked by an independant car inspector to make sure it was all good. As with any car irrelevant of age get someone who knows what they are looking at to give it a once over.
  5. By some twist of fate it now has 18 months subscription and not 12!!
  6. Supras never came with a stock grille did they? Thought they always had the exposed rad? EDIT: Just read yours is a bomex... exposing way more than a stock bumper...
  7. Due to being bought a Satnav for my birthday this xmas present to myself has became rather quickly surplus to requirements. Similar to the road angel, warns you of wither fixes or fixed and possible mobile camera sites. Includes box, instructions, cable to connect to pc for updates, 17 months subscription, power lead (will need to purchase a magnetic mount though at a cost of £4 from Talex). Also has a second power lead for it (in case you want to use it in two cars). More info can be found at http://www.talex.co.uk Cost £125 with the subscription. Open to sensible offers considering it is spanking new
  8. Can you just top up with 5.1 if it has dot 3 or 4 already in there? Is there any issues involved in this?

    Tyre Pressures

I run 32 all round, mainly because with the 18s' it is a hard ride with higher pressures
  10. Tidying up a few bits on the interior and after the following elusive bits The clip that holds the drivers mat on the drivers side, and also a passenger floor mat (must be in good nick) in grey with the supra writing embroidered in it. Anyone got either kicking about?
  11. Out of interest where is the L and F markings on yours mate? On the tube or the bottle? Just wondering if mine actually has them and I'm just not looking in the right place
  12. Don't seem to have a full or empty mark on my expansion tank? Or the pipe running into it. However there is only about an inch of fluid or so in the bottom. How full should the expansion tank be exactly?
  13. Just wondering what peoples suggestions would be to getting rid of this induction kit (or possibly even the filter if this is realistic). After reading how bad they are I just want it off the car, either a standard airbox back on (although this seems to be working out quite pricey) or just replacing the filter with something more suitable, or a new induction kit altogether? Want to try and keep the costs down as much as poss, but don't want to sacrafice quality over cost. We are talking about a 93 J-spec N/a btw
  14. Use fastloader as well. Plays everything bar a couple of games, like GTA as previously mentioned
  15. The new firmware hacks won't be long coming now from the looks of things Played it safe though and aquired some nice 1.5 value packs from Nic... still odd games (like GTA you can't run on it though). NFS most wanted runs though!! All the game you will ever need (that and Ape Academy )
  16. No BP ultimate to be had up here now. Had to stick ESSO supreme in? Not a clue what it is like though? Might be just the cold but my car seems to be throing a lot more fumes out the back than normal to me since no Optimax...
  17. Battery has gone flat on my car (left interior light on overnight). Problem is now that I have charged the battery again all is good except the imobiliser on my alarm is not responding to either of my fobs, meaning I can't start the thing Looked at the manual and everything seems to relate to programming the thing with the alarm off!! Is it a case of needing to get someone out to sort it, or am I missing something straight forward to resetting it to talk to the fobs? Any help appreciated.
  18. Pretty sure your insurance quote will be for a mk3, same as elephant did for my quote. To be honest a lot of the big insurance cos' have no idea about the car your trying to insure, and would most likely fall over when you start discussing mods. Try Sky or Lancaster for a quote
  19. Reply from Shell... Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding Optimax supplies. Following the recent incident at the Hemel Hempstead Oil Terminal, Shell is in the process of reorganising the current distribution of fuels for sites in the South of England. To ensure the mainline grades of unleaded and diesel are kept in stock, the resource used for Optimax deliveries has been unitised to support these deliveries. Our distribution contractors are working to get extra resource to aid with mainline deliveries and allow Optimax to be dispatched to sites again. We anticipate that this will take several weeks to get all deliveries back to normal. Shell appreciates your reliance on Optimax, and would like to thank you for your patience during this difficult period. Please be assured that we are doing everything to get all fuels to service stations. Yours sincerely, Matthew Wagster Customer Relations - Retail Shell U.K. Oil Products Limited Rowlandsway House, Rowlandsway, Manchester M22 5SB, United Kingdom
  20. Just read on the Evo forums it is something to do with the depot explosion. Something about losing several tankers??!! and then concentrating on keeping disel and normal unleaded stocked up and not Optimax Reports of no more deliverys until into the new year now...
  21. Just wondering if anyone else is having problems getting hold of Optimax at the moment? Tried about 5 garages up north here (Redghugh bridge, Blyth, whitemare pool, gosforth) and all got none in, and whn asking the staff they don't know when they are getting a delivery Guessing it is possibly linked to the explosion down south in some way or other? Is this just a northern thing or anyewhere else having suppl,y problems? Ended up having to put BP ultimate n, that being the next best equivalent I could think of...
  22. Got all my gear this morning Nic!! How fast was that Well happy... even happier that they are 1.5 firmwares as well
  23. Worried now... mines got the same squeak when it is first started up for ten minutes or so. As soon as it is warmed up it seems to just dispaear altogether. Appears to be coming from somewhere around the auxillary belt as far as I can tell. Thought the squeak was nothing to worry about from reading other threads... this has made me reconsider these posts slightly...
