you'll have to forgive me, I dont have much mechanical knowledge so the comments are very basic

Further progress to the last pics I posted... Turbo's were filthy from all the dust being sucked in as there were no arch liners! I was worried that the turbo's might be damaged as it's not been heard running for so long so SRD pulled them apart and really gave them a thorough check and clean up came out looking really nice Chrome and Black look - as advised by Lee, I think it retains the original look but bring it up to a nice finish.

Yes its been parked since - thats how it looked before the work started... will post up more pics as we go along

Hi Nic, Yes I am, they're in good condition at the moment, might look to rebuild in the future but i'd like to keep with the original spec, also as they are pretty small they should spool up pretty quick

see previous page

Roll cage gone, seats taken out and replaced with standard ones - some rear seats put back in. I will look to replace everything - there are some lovely gt2 seats going in the for sales section but other parts are taking priority at the moment - tempting though

Hi mate, I'd like to keep her to original spec but make her more up to date so its in the plan. when the car was sold to the last owner several parts were taken out of the interior - not happy but nothing I can do so will be looking slowly to put interior back to original

The car was missing Arch liners and the turbos were sucking in dirt as there were no filters to clean the air! add to that the fact she'd been standing for 10+ years with little use meant SRD had their work cut out to get her looking as she should but as usual you can see from the pics they did a good job
-
Lee pulled her apart and then the rebuild began As per my build title, the idea was to restore her to her former level and add alittle more - all the engine parts were genuine and I wanted to keep everything to ensure she stays to the original spec. with SRD on board, Lee and the team added their own expertise to ensure the build was clean and get her looking like new

Good post, It'd be amazing to see how she'd perform in the hands of a driver who knows the track inside out. As it's been resurfaced and tyres have moved on since then! -

Hi mate, nope Dave was the test driver that helped set up the Racelogic for Blitz and then handed it over to Herbert Schürg to do the actual driving for the lap record I bought her 5 years ago My car details can be found here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?319191-Blitz-Supra-The-Revival&highlight=blitz -
Blitz' focus was to build the car to smash the record, they built the engine, suspension, diff etc really strong - they used some special racing oil (designed to be changed after a few laps) also unsure of the fuel they used. Lee and the team found loads of fixtures and fitting which needed to be changed - when it was originally built it wasnt designed to be a show car and so bits were patched together to make things work - and they worked alright, having recorded that time! but now we can work on the detail I want to have it built back up to a good level with the love and care it deserves

Thanks all It all happened at once but now will be able to give her some proper attention and slowly build her up to a great track car (with some comfort to be used for street, where I'll use it most)

It was never damaged and hasn't done many miles so other than TLC shes looking pretty good. Will get pics up as we go along
