And Mr Wilson wins again! This time the water one spazs on start and the hold 95c for the whole journey. Dead gauge? The other one read about 80c. So all in all we have one that reads 80c and one that reads just under 90c after a long run. I am still confused over which is which but I think the 90c one is the water due to that one rising in temp quicker

Just did a normal full run int her to work. 30 miles of motorway so plenty of time for the fluids to heat up. My Power FC says 89c for water which is fine. What I assume is my water temp says just under 90c so thats ok. My oil is a funny one though. It doesn't start at 0 then rise. It starts at the max and then after a few minutes is spazs and read about 60. It then rose but never broke 100c (95ish). Does this sound ok for the temp at the sump?

It must have been about 2 hours max since I went out in her. No motorway driving but enough to get up to normal operating temperatures. Sensor is in usual place in the sump plug. Sounds about right sort of temp to me dunnit? Thanks for your input K14
  9. Ok when I got my car it had loads of gauges already in. Two of which where oil and water. I am in the process of redoing the interior and moving things around. One thing on my list was to find out which gauge was which out of these two! So I turn the car on from cold (hot day and been out earlier) and one gauge register 94c and the other 60c. My first thought was 94=oil and 60=water. However, via my Apexi Power FC I see the water is mesuring 85c. Question is if my aftermarket sensor says 60 and my stock says 85 why is there so much of a difference given about 12 inches of pipe being between the sensors? Second question is do they sound right anyways?

  12. I got rid of mine a few months ago and I took time to test the engineering of it before I threw it away. Round the edges of the mushroom is where the air is getting sucked in. On mine the entire edge had been pulled away so my car was breathing unfiltered air! The apexi is a different design and is much much much better. Scared yet?
  13. I saw this a few days ago but got put off with another auction with the same pics. One is probably a fake so I backed out of both......
  14. No I didn't do anything I think that should have caused the problem Ben I will check the fuse for the lighter tomorrow Animal and the rest of the panel come to think of it. It's just sods law that the weather is soooooo hot when I have no air or AC.....
  15. Yep and everything was ok
  16. I would trust CW enough to do this rather than some website. And a three year warranty is no good if you're dead cos of them!
  17. Ok in a 200mph car would you want the cheaper option brakes parts?
  18. I really need some advice on this. My clock, heater and blower controls are still dead! I have checked fuses in the engine and cabin locations. The radio fuse did blow but I cannot find another dead one. Can anyone suggest which fuse to check or what the problem could be other than this?
  19. That is very funny especially the last one!
  20. Nic's trying to find time to organise a group buy but has a lot on at the moment lol
