oh well. looking for a uk car that bpu with a boost contol but not having great luck. Enjoy the car. but be carful a couple of days after i went bpu i ended up inches away from a lamp post while pulling out of a junction! HAVE FUN!

what do you switch it to? i was thinking ttc would give better fuel consumption???? Dave any chance you would be able to do the switch for me? As you said it was an arse i will only accept you help if i can give you the going rate for doing it. Cheers mate

I have a bleed valve, havent fitted it yet cause boosting to over 1.2 in 3rd /4th however im only boosting 0.8/9 in 1st/2nd. How does your boost come on? in one wack or increasing?

Sounds great ellis, dont suppose being uk spec you could explain how you boost behaves please. either here or in my boost possibly problem? post in mkiv technical. glad your enjoying it, just done similar, not suspension and love the noise and new power!

Mate, You need to look for a serious colour. you have a serious elegant car and need a colour to match it! Good luck. If in doubt just hang on. Ok hang about i will look for the colour i was gunna go for. its from house of colour and is black / dark red with quite a bit of flake. i think the nicest colour out there. Ill see if i can find it for you No luck sorry!

nice one, my temp is fine then. If i get the swith installed, can i just flick it when ever i want? or do i need to reset ecu etc?

Thats cool cause im only getting that high when im pushing it in 3rd. generally getting 1.17 what sort of egt do i need to worry about??

ok, Homer took me out in his j spec manual the other day. He had a mecanical boost gauge and as boost kicked in it went straight to 1.25 bar however when i boost it goes to about 0.6 or 0.7 and then increases from there. Am confused by this. am getting about 0.8 in 1st, 1.0 in 2nd and 1.2 in 3rd and 4th any ideas?

Just done it the pipes way. Not 100 % sure yet. Was boosting a bit higher got it to 1.22. 1st gear is great fun. kiss the TC goodbye lol. Car sounds completly different, i used to love the old sound but the mrs says this is nicer like this. had a quick blat with a wrx to check it and, yes ofcourse i kicked his ass lol

How you finding it damen? :smile: Makes a massive difference eh, what boost you running? My exhaust did the same thing. With mine it was blowing from the joint back from there. However i think it maybe that i kicked the shit before the sealer had sealed properly??? dont know my sh1t though!

No definatly agree with you. CERTAINLY not going there yet! Just wanted to get an idea of a target age to get the target car. TBH i could probably do with a fair bit more experience before getting into a 600bhp car. Cheers though dad

Ok here is the question. Want to go BIG single at somepoint. How old to people tend to be before they can get insurance? Im thinking about possibly registering as a business and trying to get business insurance but can any one explain a little more about that to me. Cheers
