  1. Try lubing it ... works a treat for me but as said only lasts 3 mths or so ... God just realised what i've said... HA HA HA ... I mean the boot seal and Rubbers Bit of grease on the rubbers and silicone the boot rubber, Stops all knocks and creaks
  2. I'm a Veggie.......... So i always have a vibrating rear end !!!! :rlol: :rlol:
  3. I get this too, But a heavy knocking rather than a vibration I use silcone spray on the boot seal and a touch of grease on the new boot lid rubbers, It cures it for about 3 mths, short term i know but I to hate any form or rattles Do you have a standard or non standard spoiler? As i have only suffered this after changing from the standard spoiler (which are very light)
  4. Especially as on top of the price of the car, he had £3k of extra engine work done and another £2k of ice installed too.. Gutted ... more than gutted Thing is he wasn't a youngster either and had high power sports cars before so knew what he was buying, but hey Accidents happen, looking at it , its definatley a write off though
  5. Tell me about it, We've just picked up in excess of 15 empty shells from the back garden One exploded earlier about 10 ft above the lawn, I must have nutters for neighbours .. If we want to go outside .. think it tin hat time..
  6. I have extra pod gauges. that and the bloody loud exhaust i think to most of the uneducated they think its a TT so i get left alone ... :rlol: Shame about the keying... not sure what's going on, but everyday on here some poor bugger has had their Supra key'd. what is it Jealousy or some bloody lastest trend targeting Supras?
  7. Glad they were lucky ones with Air bags still fitted then Must be really gutted.. I saw a similar thing today at my Mates import business, A guy bought a beautiful GTR skyline off him When he left my mate said be careful as the lanes are quite slippy, he got a call 1/2 hr later, what a mess .. the guy had wrapped it around a tree amoungst other things

    V8 Rx7?

You certainly wouldn't buy it if you lived in Watford, Hertfordshire for sure, My Supra is bad enough and has so many no go roads where i live

    V8 Rx7?

This seems to be popular mod at the moment A few guys on the other forums have done a few and one guy did a diary on the whole project, was really interesting and he did it in quite a short time span Insurance would be interesting though !!! But suppose you could get it in kit car catagory
  10. lol!! He came past me at the Mimms Convoy to JAE just as we went onto the A1 .iT is was so loud !!!!!!!!!! ........ i couldn't even hear my car .... and mine is damn loud!! Lovely Supra, Not sure if this was the same one he came up to Santapod in as that one had graphics on
  11. Agree it looks quite bad, especially as most our our cars don't have Air bags as well Lets hope they got out ok
  12. Not sure what you mean? I ask a question, get some sensible feedback and then a stupid comment from Michael, which to be honest what the hell has that got to do with A virus alert question ? I call that him antagonising people ... Yes i am getting bombarded every 2 mins off this site i'm not getting a funny alert Its just come up again
  13. Welcome mate Yep the Manual is faster and more fun However the Auto is a nice drive, After my Tip FTO a manual can be a pain sometimes but thats me just being lazy. Either Man or Auto are fine you'll enjoy the Supra with either in so wouldn't worry if i was you, Although you may find Auto is a lot worse on mpg if you like the kick down..
  14. I recognise the No plate, I'm sure its someone off here..
  15. I have Panda Platinum its comes up as exploit/lass Just been on a few other sites and nothing.. Back on here and up it comes again ... Ohh and again right now Strange Ok though its getting blocked
  16. See you Tuesday guys How was the DVD? My first attempt at a movie ... Currently making a new Camera mount
  17. Since logging on here, My Antivirus its pinging up every few mins warning of a virus alert "exploit" Anyone else suffering the same
  18. Great photos, The flip front Supra ....... very unique !!
  19. What is interesting though with insurance companies (forget the TTis this though) is when they ask is it a import, I think i'm right in saying all NA were import and nver official over here? Which seems a strange question for them to ask and why therefore should they put a premium on the policy, On the otherside of the coin why should a J Spec TT be higher than a UK spec, Basic repair work for insurance companies would be the same surely. Cost of a wing would surely be same whether UK or Jap? Over the years though there has been a huge drop in premuims for imports, Perhaps insurance companies have finally seen the light .. The same goes for dealerships they finally jumped on the band wagon and saw money was to be made from Imports, Mitsubishi in particular, they hold a 25% parts holding of Import parts, Subaru seems to be the only ones still making it difficult p.s Is that better CJ ??
  20. Ahh at last another old git... welcome to the old gits club!!! :rlol:
  21. Sorry , just makes reading easier... for us old gits... I use email alot at work at when they are really long with lots of info it makes it easier to take in....
  22. Really? Still a group 19 though. so £1300 you'd say was bad, for a £25 yr old i would have said that was about right, But insurance is a funny old thing and never makes sense I paid £150.00 less to insure my NA when i changed from an FTO which was odd, but there again insurance companies class the FTO as group 20 My quotes were weird anyway £150 less than the FTO for a N/A £10 more to insure a TT Currently pay £297.00 fully comp protected for my NA with a Cat 2 Immobiliser fitted Although some insurance companies class the NA as a grp 20 as well, Always pays to shop around, Many want trackers and all sorts of rubbish Basically a Cat2 immobiliser is what most want so the car is simply dead, Alarms aren't always the best as usualy the damage is done by then anyway, and most people don't take notice of alarm sirens anyway, I've found over the years of Import and Sports car ownership that most companies just insist of a Thatham approved immobiliser .
  23. Correct Ian People just have trouble understanding why the term "JDM style "is used in the first place, and think its some set in stone term or chav The DC5 has the large spoilers etc which is aimed at selling in their market as that is the style they want and appeals to them Even when you look at Legum estates, Big wheels Spoilers , mirrored glass all aimed at selling in the JDM market JDM means the market it is sold in not just a style The "style "comes from because of the market in which it is sold in if that makes sense.. ?? I'm finished with this thread (again) its going no where, just different peoples views of what "they " think it means , So if they are happy with their own interpretation.... happy days
