Cat or blown baffle ?? stick something over the tailpipe and rev it, may throw something up??? My system gets louder after a long run, sounds great though as it sort of pops when you slow down, must be heat expansion or something inside my boxes,

Yeah i know, LOL!!! can't beleive the difference for so little money, Never thought it would make a blind bit of difference TBH, did it for looks really It used to have the typical NA punch at 5500rpm , now it wakes up and just pulls from 3500rpm, so well pleased and the sound change is a bonus too.. It would be interesting if anyone has fitted this pipe with a std Airbox and noticed any changes too ??? + it would look good as well even with the std Airbox, that black plastic pipe is nasy looking..

I find they steam up badly anyway, could it be because they are quite small inside, Had this problem with the FTO and the RX8 does it too especially the rear door windows,

Well the pipe has been on 5 days now and it gets better and better (does the ECU adjust to compensate for more air???), The car has a "very noticeable kick" it really responds now and picks up very quickly from 3500rpm with a "kick" I'd go as far as to say the best £80.00+ vat i have ever spent on the car, Induction sound is sweet too along with the exhaust, The missus drove it today and without me saying anything prior when she got back in she said blimey that car drives totally different.. very responsive As I said best £80.00 i've ever spent..

Ditto, I was thinking the same Awesome car but did break down alot, they always seem to have a problem up the Pod, but hey thats life when you a running that type of car I suppose (always in development) .

Manual will be more economical than a Auto as especially when you'll be using kick down all the time. Any Auto car is the same. Depends how your drive it though I average between 24 / 25mpg around town and upto 36mpg on a long run at steady 80, Depends what state of tune your NA is but mine has been timed we did 3 consequtive runs all at 6 secs

LOUD!!!! and with my new Induction hardpipe it sound sweet from 3k upwards I'm thinking seriously about a 2nd decat pipe, just woried it may be tooooooo loud though.... Perhaps at one of the next meets i'll get lucky and someone there will have a NA with a 2nd decat so I can hear one ...

No your not, But Its good that you are getting feedback before you part with your hard earned money... Just make sure you get it looked over by someone who knows the 300 very well, Or speak to a good Import company that has in house Workshop facilities close to you that perhaps could give it the once over for you, would be worth paying an hour or so labour and have peace of mind

It was introduced Spring 89 so yep i suppose a little dated in looks, but then again the Supe arrived roughly 4 years later and had to compete with the Porches etc etc in looks etc, You can get some great kits for the 300zx, But things like the nasty dash switches show its age,great car though, but most owners will say they are money pits, but that maybe just because they are getting old ???

Makes you think what someone would pay, ££££ ??? But i saw a RX7 convertable at JAE 2 yrs ago , Real peach of a car and it had really silly low miles (17k or something like that) , he had it up for something silly like 3k, yet the car was like new I'll ask my mate out of interest if he has ever come across one of these convertables,as he used to import and sell loads of 300zxs up until about 18 - poss 2 yrs ago and then people just stopped buying them for some reason almost overnight, he got stuck with a couple for ages. same story with the 350Z he bought a couple over with only 1000 mls on them yet he got stuck with them for 5 mths.. Strangley the RX8 he bought over with 900 miles on sold within 1 hr of being on the website..

No don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking it ... far from it, the MX5is a cracking little car, My mate Turbo'd his, Just a shame they have not moved on with the engine and offer sometime a little different as a special, Anyone who has owned a MX5 will say what great fun they are to drive.... my god the Accessories you can buy for them too ... i'd be bankrupt in a week
