  1. Got ours up finally today Sorry poor pic quality
  2. Exactly my point, you will kill them over a larger distance but even some of the newer big bhp deseil cars are nowdays very rapid , My point was you get these big BHP jap cars and you get some little crappy french or whatever hot hatch and even with Skylines etc you can get embarrased on the roads even into 3 figs, I suppose power to weight ratios etc come into it too
  3. I'm afraid the debate will always be there, And i'm always the black sheep when it comes to this, Seroiusly though it may appear i winge, but its not meant to come across that way. I own a Manual NA and when peple say there are slow ... i'm totally confused because mine isn't .. I have drove a few Autos and yes have found some to be a little sluggish but that could be down to many factors, oK TO MY KNOWLEDGE. My NA came over here and on its original spec sheet it had a sheet with a quoted 250bhp My mods are as follows unless anything has be done internally that i am unaware of, HKS Induction kit Trail 5in System I have since fitted a Turbofit Intake pipe which has "transformed the pick up " and would wholly recommend fitting one of theseif you have a NA and i have fitted a cold Air feed, The 0-60 is 6 secs dead, pick up its very quick especially in 2nd - 3rd and from 80 - 130mph, the Car feels quick and its quicker than my bosses Audi A6 2.7TT, I'm not wingeing guys or having a huge debate but from driving my car everyday i cannot see where this point of view comes, from?? perhaps i'm lucky and something has been done that i'm unaware of or there are alot of badly out of tune NA s with seized on back brakes out there... I've said many a time a Supe is a Supe if you like the NA you get the looks and the club spirit, yet reliability , MPG etc if its your everyday car, If you want something a little more hardcore get the TT, Choice is yours i could buy a TT tomorrow but chose the NA as its my everyday driver and offered me a more sensible lower cost option, Alot of people are going the NA-T route which isn't a bad choice and in some cases is cheaper than trying to buy a good standard TT which are getting more and more hard to find and with prices rising out in JAPAN. As i said not winging just trying to explain why i defend my corner when it comes to discussions
  4. We are not talking on a race track but on the highways, Some of the new breed hot hatches have to be seen to beleived in performance although do not boast huge BHP's My friend has a 500+ bhp Skyline and has been suprised on a few occassions much to his dismay Yes he'll blow em away over a large distance but not on general roads , The Seat Leon i mentioned is the "hot version" trust me you have a go at one in your TT and you'l be embarrased... yes you'll kill him eventually but over a short distance or down a dual carriage way and you think again what you've just wrote...
  5. Have to get up early every Sunday, My 13yr old Lad works at my friends Jap import business as a Sunday Job, Lucky boy... we did paper rounds at that age, not get to spend a day surrounded by top notch imports SKylines / Supras etc etc , you could say every young boys dream job... and fantastic money too... Oh well got tomorrow off so plan to have a lie in and then hit the shops to do some xmas shopping
  6. Spot on Max. but lets face it "in the real world" on the road 6 secs is fast in anyones books and not to be sniffed at.
  7. Something "very seroiusly wrong " with it then, The NA is a quick car,its no TT ok, but there is a lot of slating of the NA which TBH it doesn't deserve, but remember most modern cars are much more technically advanced even Skylines and std TT's will not easily blow away some of the Modern cars like Seat Leons etc etc, A well set up NA in the right hands is a brisk car, oh... ps. Welcome to the club !!!!!!
  8. Depends on the mods.. my manual is 6secs I've found manual NA to be quicker
  9. not sure on the wings.. bit of a dirt collector, The earlier pics I liked better as it had more of a Aston look about it,
  10. Here they are, Now have more silcone pipe fitted to the pipe managed to get some matching Blue 12mm ID for the pipe to Rocker box breather
  11. Thats modern technology though, My mate got seen off in his Skyline (to begin with) by a Seat Leon and New Golf GTI deisel, By modern standards even a std TT is no longer quick, but saying that i'd preder to be driving a Supra or Skyline than a Seat Leon or Golf Deisel ...
  12. I use it but find its a little slow I use BT Torrent , but find things with most seeders as mentioned
  13. My NA is manual with a few mods and does 0-60 in 6 secs so quick enough for just road use, I drove a 911 Carerra today on my track day and wasn't that impressed TBH , Happy with my NA for everyday use, hits 100 and beyond fairly rapidly, is fairly frugal and is reliable so see no reason yet to upgrade, At the end of the day its what you want, and you can only go so fast on the roads anyway..
  14. My odometer reads in miles but still has KM legend, which can easily be changed, to change the overall reading e'g wind back so in correct UK miles can be done but its expensive
  15. Nice to see you are in charge matey, My missus knows who is boss too (just don't tell her i told you that ok!! ) or its For me
  16. putting mine up tomorrow, I had enough hassle when putting my outside xmas lights up I put them up a few days before the 1st the missus went mad and hid my timer switch until the 1st:cry: So anyway will get the decs up tomorrow

  20. Ideal place, huge roads and runways, It was decomissioned only 11 years ago
  21. I had a good blast in as its a long way in down the runway hit 130mph then saw the hi viz jacket guys ... so had to slam the brakes on .. I got a few very disaproving looks!!! HA HA They wouldn't let me take mine out afterwards due to insurance here is the link http://www.castrol.com/xv/mediapopuptwocolumn.jsp?categoryId=9002930&contentId=7005457 run by http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/
  22. It was last years xmas prezzie from the wife, it was Castrol VXR driving experience About £150 - 200 i think ?? We went to this absolutley "massive" US Airbase over in Oxford in Upper Heyford, they set out a track and circuit , you could get the most out of the cars without worrying about sliding off into grass as well as hitting flat out high speed runs It boasts longests Airstrips in UK apparantley fantastic experience, just bloody cold
