hey mate nightmare! this happened to us about 2 years ago in November... almost exactly the same situation as you! We were faced with the 'one free attempt to locate and fix' or '£200 if you fix it yourself' choice from the water board. the leak was right under my driveway! it flooded the whole front garden like a swimingpool. We had to have the water off for a couple of weeks or so. I figured it was a galvanised iron pipe probably from when the house was made, so the 1st free fix option was never going to help. ended up fixing it all myself with much help from relatives. It was a job and a half, we had to dig up a channel all the way up the drive to get to the pipe which was a long way down, had to get through a good thick amount of concrete, was hard work! nearly chopped a gas pipe in the process (be careful if you do it) had to pull the whole run of iron pipe right out, it was a length that ran from the road right down the drive and right under the house front to back! it terminated at the back of the house at the copper house plumbing. Anyway the old pipe was shot to bits in many places so a complete replacement was the right thing to do in the end. We could have done a short term fix on it but it wouldn't have lasted long tbh. It was a bit of a job but we managed to run the new blue plastic pipe right from the road to the back of the house, feeding it right under the house from front to back, exactly where the old pipe went!!! It's been fine since, a job and a half though and to get builders/plumbers to do it would cost a small fortune, and then some! if you need any advice can probably help... the cost of the parts was like £50 or less so we made £150 profit in the long run, the effort was considerable and it was a right pain in the arse. Bad timing for you mate, I really really feel for you right now
  4. hmmm I'm likeing them a lot, and the price too! be nice to hear feedback from someone who's actually tried them out, might be tempted to get some of those next year.
  5. Nice, it's rude not too in that tunnel isn't it. Even if I'm just cruising as soon as I enter that tunnel I just can't help myself, windows down, drop down a gear or two and go puts a smile on my face everytime. The Lewes tunnel is good too, thing sometimes I scare the crap out of the car infront by booting it through there and zooming up behind them hehe
  6. my punto has been understeering like a goodun, it tried to take the straight on turn when I wanted to go right at a roundabout earlier! take it easy guys. My supe is having a rest and it too awaits new tyres like Redm's does. Probably for the best although I'd love to go out in it and have fun with RLTC
  7. we got sent home at 12 too think they knew we would all head to the pub for lunch and not come back anyway, so they might as well endorse it and get the credit... been home wrapping presents all avo, job done just in time before my other half gets home now I can relax
  8. I've not driven mine since Nov now and it really needs some new tyres too so I probably won't be in it again until the new year. Itching to drive it now but I know I need to wait and be patient...
  9. if you buy an R34 now at 30k + you will stand to lose plenty in depreciation over the next few years as they fall as per R32s and 33s. R34s at their current price don't really represent good value for money IMHO and with that sort of money there are other good cars to consider... Depends what you want out of a car. TBH if you really want a 'liner then wouldn't you be better off spending the money on an R32 and some decent mods to make it very fast indeed...
  10. spend the money on making the supra even better (but I did see a novelty Taxi Meter in the M&S gift section the other day, should you go for it one might be handy)
  11. I'm doubley bored Wind down week before christmas AND my last 8 working days in total before I leave HELP!
  12. Firefox any day for me... check here for details of IE7 http://www.ie7.com
  13. in terms of tracks I guess I'd pick from: Wish you were here Another brick in the wall Comfortably Numb Hey You Time and so on, there are so many good ones...
  14. I've never had the chance to see them live, they are well known for amazing shows and lighting too arn't they? Wish You Were Here is my favourite album I think, I love it's dreamy driftyness, it's a masterpiece. What are your favourites?
  15. bit like me and the scissor sistors lol - actually I can tollerate them but in 10 years I'm pretty sure I could guess who will still be famous and regularly in the top best bands/albums of all time list
  16. well that sounds like roughly what I use. although I made the leads myself as it would have cost a fortune otherwise, I needed 4 * 10m lengths - didn't cost much to make anyway I use a similar scart to rgbs adaptor (just breaks the connections out into RCA) and 4 wires go to my projector. Sync can be carried on any of the wires, doesn't matter what colour so long as you wire up the same output to the same input. hope that helps, if not I've probably misunderstood what you're asking lol
  17. OMG, I don't even know what to say to that...
  18. I wouldn't take the risk personally for the sake of £80-100 but I did run for a few weeks at bpu on the stock pump, but I didn't push it hard much, only to test it made the boost get a pump, it's piece of mind worth having imho
  19. I had a clio as a run around (that's all they are good for, handy for shopping lol) but it was made out of cheese. Very shoddy in deed, it went wrong quite a lot. My neighbour used to flash around in his V6 sport a lot as if it was the dogs, when I got the supra he kinda stopped bringing it out and now I hardly ever see it, it just stays in the garage. the normal clios are all fwd rubbish anyway and the v6 sport versions are way overated tbh
  20. thanks garath, yes this link is the same thing online... (sorry about the attatchment trouble, not sure what is wrong with that)
  21. lol sorry it was a .pps and it wouldn't upload it I've renamed it to a .zip - just download and change to a .pps
  22. Hope this isn't an 'R' - I did have a quick check. surely this can't be for real lol
  23. Nice setup animal, is that really in your front room? lol I don't think many partners would be that accomodating! I like the scouring pads on the cymbals, I take it that is damping for them. What sort of music do you play? Looks like you're in a band and play rock/metal from that setup? I've got my PC/audio workstation already rigged up so I can hard disk record and sequence etc, I just really wanted to capture the drums live, it's just not the same playing them in on a keyboard or in a step editor of a sequencer is it. Well anyway I'm really enjoying learning how to play. It's so satisfying when you learn something new and play it right. I've got a long way to go but I'm enjoying every step of the way
