James...no probs, I'm after a permanent fix. Laura....easy does it with the sticky plate....some use a hairdryer / hot air gun to soften the adhesive, but as I've found to my cost, it softens the paint too if you are'nt careful. If at all in doubt, get a new sticky plate (same size) and stick it over the top.

I owned a MkIV for years before even thinking about clubs and forums. I had a very up-myself attitude to all that....I got all my 'info' from mags and the importer. Then I had my code 42 issue and posted a query on here after a quick google. It was weird, after that first post days seemed sunnier, strangers in the street started smiling and saying hello, my wife put out more, and little birds began to sit on my arms and shoulders and deer would come up and lie down before me. How could I possibly resist....
