I know where you're coming from...our neighbour has been re-building his house for over a year. Now its his drive thats getting the treatment. Still, he drives a tipper truck, has a lot of land I can dump stuff on and is a maniac with landscaping hardware. I only have to think I need shingle and topsoil and hes outside with a load for me. Oh and hes a fellow Tanglefoot disciple.

Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. He pushed his luck going for a car design project as this stretched the final project brief considerably. But as he'd been offered a place at Coventry for Automotive Design, the Bournemouth bods let him go for it. He needs a pass...it will be close, due to 'a car' project not having the innovitive and inventive elements required.

I've never needed to look at it, but theres a small (4" high 3" wide) box just above the accelerator but on the right hand side...you can see half of it above the right hand side plastic footwell liner but you have to get yourself deep in there.

They are Sans wheels....sans any visible means of support:) He gave me some guff about electro-magnetic drive in the wheel arches that held the wheels in place whilst providing propulsive power. Steering and braking would also be handled by the electro-magnetic field via the aircraft style control column...push forward to go, sideways to turn, pull back to stop...He scares me sometimes

Well, he's now suitably sheepish...can't be too hard on him though as he is a diamond. He's got a lot of this cutting to do so I'll leave the exterior till tomorrow....maybe I'll strap Jane to the roof armed with polish and a cloth on the way to tomorrows meet:sly:

...he'd be twice as intelligent:rolleyes: I got up very early for me, and washed the car so I could wax it later Our neighbour, who had seen me washing the car and had had a chat as to how I was going to wear the paint off etc has just been using a disc-cutter to cut paving blocks and slabs...craps all over the car. He's a really nice guy, but why didnt he tell me he was gonna do this before I washed it ?

its none too shabby for a first attempt at a large (1/4 scale) model. He did it the way they do at Coventry (mdf buck / clay / plaster mould / grp shell) then cnc'ed the wheels. He got tiny Aston badges from Aston but ran out of time to detail it all up. As for the top end, did you see the two 'proper' ones I posted last night ?

Ah haaaa....in that case I retract my gnat and add a nit:) -
The Ab Flug one looks far more of a quality kit...razor sharp edges and thin wall panels...I hate to say it but it would look stunning in white, The Maxing Racing one whilst nice has far more of an 'out of a mould' look, with large radii on the edges and a kit car feel to it. IMHO:)
