  1. 10am to 2pm is the official time but it's more like 10am until we finish? 61 cars as we stand is a mighty fine number and a great start to the season and a very impressive stance for the forum that will attract much interest from the motor mags, so well done everyone. Our meets are a little different to others because the mission is to entertain you for free, the number attending allow me to rob various vendors and add to the event, in addition it's a chance for me to say "thanks" to members who have used us over the years but most importantly i can offer a safe secure meeting place for all club members to "meet and greet". Loads more news to come but I'll stop droning on for now.
  2. I have been in touch with the local Autosmart rep (Atul) and he will be bringing his van along for 3 or 4 hours. For those who don't know who Autosmart are they specialise in cleaning products for trade and the general public. Check out their website for the kind of products they sell> http://www.autosmart.co.uk/ Atul has asked me to send him a list in 2 or 3 weeks time with a rough idea of what people want so he can stock up if needed. He will also be doing some special offers on the day.
  3. I'm impressed.... The "supercars" attending are not "tarts cars", these are used in the real world, so it would be great to see the Supra's duff these up on the dyno
  4. Yes.... Although there are issues with "tiptronic" auto's? regarding an accurate power run..... I truth i don't understand all this dyno stuff, it's not my field.
  5. I've invited the "supercar owners club" to attend as well?.... just so members can have a tyre kicking session..... would be nice to see how the "out of the box" Lambo dyno's to a modified Supra? Now there's a challenge ....... JamieP can you duff a Diablo? Before anyone gets worried the meet is 100% Supra, all other stuff is entertainment
  6. Agreed..... Three power runs for £35 seems like a good price to me?... Nice to assume who would produce the most power in advance... JamieP your excluded cos your car is an utter nutter we all know that.
  7. Sorry if i've added unnecessary worry but i just didn't get the> Front camber -0.333 degrees. Actual end values i wouldn't and shouldn't comment on because there's to many variables, each and every cars has stand alone settings, Powerstation know this and i'm yet to see a bad report from them.
  8. Sorry but those numbers don't make sence, where did they come from?
  9. There's the posibility of an Essex girl recently "rebored with a new liner fitted" that could attend.... Obviously needs to be run-in at 2000 RPM so a small dick and a fast arse is wise.
  10. I am "mad", the meet will cost me around 3k what with the hosting and insurance, i don't care because it's a great big thank you to the forum members and it's thanks to clubs like this i'm in a position to say "thanks", wim wouldn't be wim without you. This level of reward can only happen once for the club so please if you want to take advantage of the offers this meet is the one to go for, if members can think of additional services at the meet please say what? and i will work for that. Other meets will appear for the club but not as big as this one.
  11. Only 53 cars [sHOCK][/sHOCK]...... Come on team mkiv i'm sure we can better that. What do we have to offer? 1: A safe (empty) retail park able to hold hundreds of cars 2: A Sunday meet so that everyone can attend and meet other members 3: Free food and refreshments 4: Free Geometry calibration (by raffle) 5: A free set of tyres supplied by Avon (£5 a ticket) all proceeds to charity 6: A free set of GAZ coilovers (£5 a ticket) all proceeds go to charity 7: A rolling road 8: Arch enemy will attend to explain any rolling options 9: The motor mags will be there so you can have your 15min of fame 10: Our sponsored race cars will be attending, this includes cars from A: British Drift Championships B: ProDrift C: European Drift Championships E: Timed Attack F: RX7 Race series G: Mazda MX5 Race series H: Several club cars GarageD who build Drift cars for the likes of Drift Works will be attending with a car or two, so those of you interested in the build can rape them for information. Anything else let me know but as things stand we have an epic meet........ You coming?
  12. Update As some may know wim/GAZ suspension offered a free set of coilovers/ fitting/ geometry calibration and corner weighting to a lucky winning member here, that being Abz. Abz car will be used for the coilover developments, consisting of an anodized coilover body, custom coil rates, 22 way single point bump/ re-bound adjuster from "full off to full on"..... Happy days. Not that GAZ know it yet but i will be auctioning a set of the finished product at the meet for £5. Some rules 1: One winner takes all 2: The winner cannot convert the prize into money 3: The prize is product only 4: Coil rates consist of "daily drive, fast road, fast road/track, track. The winner may need to wait while the chosen coil rates are made 5: All money taken from this offer goes to charity. Heads up once again We have a two metre run-up to the ramp, please be absolutely sure your car can travus this! If your unsure scan through these images from the Ferrari meet> http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/simplegallery.php Tony@ wim
  13. Update Avon tyres UK has agreed to donate a set of tyres to one lucky winner at the meet. Some rules to avoid disappointment 1: Tickets will be sold at £5 per ticket, one winner takes all 2: The winning ticket is not transferable into another product or monies to the sum of the prize 3: In the event Avon cannot support your tyre size combination the ticket monies will be refunded and the prize represented at the meet 4: In the event we don't hold the tyres in stock they will be ordered and fitted at a later date 5: The winner can only use wim centre for fitting 6: All monies generated from the raffle goes to charity
  14. The Geometry side of things is by raffle but free as is the food and drink since everyone is our guests. Regarding the rest..... well if your going to have a meet then i my book make it memorable.
  15. Well i'm impressed, well done everybody for the numbers. Some news.... As some will know GAZ suspension are developing new coilover kits for the Supra and a lucky winner here is part of the field developments rewarded with free coilovers, free fitting, free corner weighting and free geometry calibration in recompense for his time. If development's prove conclusive by the time of the meet we will also raffle a set of GAZ coilovers at £5 a ticket (all proceeds go to charity) on the day.
  16. Avon seem keen to donate a set of tyres to one lucky winner.... £5 a ticket, one winner takes all and all proceeds go to charity. I'm 99% sure this will happen so watch this space.
  17. Opps.... forgot to mention cars from the RX7 series and MR2 series..... Come to think about it i do have a few series under my wing?
  18. Most if not all of our track cars will be attending (subject to race commitments) they consist of cars from BDC, EDC, Pro-Drift, Timed Attack, Toyota Sprint, Ma5da MX5 series and some of the club cars. In addition GarageD (Drift Developments) should be with us with a car or two.
  19. Abz is second on the list, sorry. He missed out by simply not answering his mobile although he was first to pm me.
  20. Offer closed Winner Steve spedd.... congratulations Thank you to all the others that pm'd me but knowing this was going to be a quick grab i had to be ruthless.
