Easy. Unscrew the lower glove box and poke your head up, you'll see where the airbag unit is mounted to the crash bar. 4 bolts. Then gently push it up and you'll see the yellow connector block, it has a white clip you have to flip up, then you just pull the plug out. Make sure you disconnect the battery before hand and handle it with care.

I cant see the fact its an Aristo ECU being a problem, as you say it should at least run on it. The engine, loom and ecu all came from the same car, a 2000 VVTI Supra, so the owner before us must have stuck an Aristo ECU in for some reason. The whole setup thats now in Chico's car, ran perfectly in the Supra it was removed from.

Bizzarre! That whole lot came out of the same car. (The white VVTI Supra in our yard Chico) And it was a sweet runner.
