  1. I'm going to take on my brakes sooner or later. My cars been standing for a year and a half so i'm expecting a fight. I put new front discs and pads on the missis Punto at the weekend, took me an hour and cost under £40. If on;y the supra would be the same Doesn't the rears on the supra have a drum for the handbrake? I'm sure i've read something about this somewhere!
  2. Strange!! This is a picture of an inside unit from a j-spec light that i am now doing. As you can see the ring is clearly not removable as the whole unit is one moulded piece. On this one i've done the rings with chrome paint, and am going to mask them to paint the rest black.
  3. The rings on j-spec lights are not replacable as the inside of the light is all from one mould. Not sure if this is the case with facelift ones though! I've just done a set, and used some chrome effect aerosol paint to mask out and spray the rings. If you want to give them the facelift look, you can wet flat the whole unit with 600 grit or so, then spray the whole thing matt black. Then when it's gone off, carefully mask the rest of the light out and spray the rings chrome. Some of the original chrome came away when removing the masking tape on one of mine, so it had to be re-done. So ba carefull Edit: Just realised yours are facelift! Sorry, i'm off work with arc eye! Handy info for anyone else though.
  4. That bumper is gross, regardless of colour and shite paint job. Looks like the car has a hairlip
  5. Is it possible to remove and replace the rear hatch glass yourself or do you need to get an autoglass company to refit? I have a relpacement rear door and need to swap the glass over. Cutting it out shouldn't be a problem as i have a saw wire thingy that i've already made short work of removing the quarter glasses with. But i want to know if you can re-bond it yourself?
  6. You willing to split? I just need some discs!
  7. Are the discs the same as j-spec TT?
  8. Only an advantage if you're running big power. Otherwise just the noise
  9. What did this set up cost you mate?
  10. What's the going rate for standard discs then, anyone know? Need to do mine too soon! Think i'll go for TRD pads.

I went for a few days, me and the missis and another couple. Didn't seek any advice first, just went. Didn't have any problems or run ins! Must of heard the word Cocainum....cocainum" being whispered over my shoulder a million times, but like said just ignore it and keep walking. If you go in the hash museum, try the gnarly hippies 'Atomiser' bowl thingy. It's good! me and my mate recon most of the birds in the RLD look just like Whoopi Goldburg (not nice) but there are some awesome looking ones too. Just keep walking though. I stopped to do a bit of window gazing and only just escaped! Enjoy!
  12. Yep, i bought mine crash damaged to fix up. Had it a year now and it's still not done I've only driven it on and off trailers so far! It's nearly done though, and if i hadn't been out of work recently it would have been finished by now.
  13. Try this... http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=47457
  14. Well done. That should sort the men out from the boys. My wife studied languages at university, and has put the fear of Christ into me when ever it come to grammer and punctuation. And there's no excuse for geting your spelling wrong when you are sat in front of a computer.... http://dictionary.reference.com/
  15. As long as it's a good repair, i'd do as little as possible. Then MAX out the credit card on tuning goodies. If the rest of the body work is good, then why waste money having it repainted. And i could definitely live with a few stone chips. Like CW said, you'll only worry about it if you get too mint.
  16. Giving your car a name! Bunch of weirdos I don't even call mine a 'she'. It's just not right.
  17. I've read stories of people being woken in bed with a knife to their throat and some nutter demanding keys. I don't think an opportunist would go this far, but shows how far some people will go.
  18. Can't complain at that mate You taking the oppertunity to go Goodridge?
  19. Crazy indeed. That man seems to have no sense at all. Couldn't decide weather to turn left or right.
  20. This is the one i used mate.... http://www.bolt.com/MySpace_Editor I selected 'advanced' in the mode box. Was fairly easy to do, i'm not vey computer literate at all and i got my page to look ok. EDIT: just sent you a message mate!!
  21. Well, turns out it weren't too bad. The tooth was well exposed and completely laying flat. They told me i'd be given a conscious sedation when i got there, which worried me a bit. The word 'conscious' and 'tooth extraction' dont go hand in hand in my book! But he told me that although i'd be conscious, i'd be completely out of it and would feel nothing and remember nothing after! Sounded good to me I've been asleep most of the day and am only now getting my head together, and the pain ain't too bad either. So all in, the job's a goodun.
