My responses a side from his name were more to do with him having a toy car...

If he's honestly 28 and can't spell buy (bye), present (presant), hopefully (hopferly), possible (posabel), difference (differance), jap (jape) or welcome (wellcome) I'm seriously worried.....

Christ!! This thread went downhill quickly!

Woody, have a good look in the For Sale section and get a bit of background info from the Search facility. We are all a helpful bunch and don't be put off by the odd silly comment!:)

If you find a car that you like then usually some of the guys on here will give you good impartial advice or even come and look at the car with you. You could also contact CJ or Jurgen to see what they have on their books at the moment!

Paul Whiffin is highly recommended and in your neck of the woods

bit out of your price range but you do get what you pay for and worth savings up that little bit extra.

I will be selling mine but not for a good few months yet.

10-03-07, 13:50
Mate thats not a veilside body kit. Its got the toyota factory options skirts and spats as well as what looks like a greddy front lip, carbon bonnet and veilside wing :)

That one has been up for sale before! I am concerned that if he is a trader that he not posted up any kind of contact numbers.!! To me it is too cheap for a facelift TT and I would therefore walk away. Somebody on here may know more about it but I don't like the fact he is only contactable by e-mail through e-bay!!

Unfortunately I am a right tw@t in person and only help people who I can't see at the time!!:D Just kidding!!

The best way to get a good Supe is from here!! Auto trader or pistonheads would be my second choice and e-bay if I was desperate. There are a lot of scammers on e-bay who hind behind their user names. If there is no landline number or the seller will not provide an address to view the car, I would keep well away.

Woody, what is your ideal Supra and I'll have a look around the net for one that I think you'll like.

Love shopping for cars me!!

It can be although there have been some budget conversions done for 4-5k? it all depends on how far you want to go. What previous car's have you had? a bpu TT is very fast ;)

:d see if you can test drive a stock TT then if it's not fast enough start the upgrades. A single turbo conversion can be great but a right pita in the wet :)

Good luck with the search.

Woody, if I were you I'd buy a car off from here in the for sale section, I personally would never buy a car off from ebay, there just seems to be so much tat on there, you would really be better of buying from a club member imo, and especially as you have around 8k to spend, save just a little bit more, maybe to 9-9.5k and you'll get your dream car  just don't rush in :)

Tom

Lots of detailed info.
The only other things I can think of are like I said to check that it's undersealed and has an alarm. Some converters for the speedo aren't that good but it's easy to change if you find it goes funny later on.

Sounds like a great buy, well done :)

Now, get out there and drive the thing :D Take it easy though, its still slippery out there and these are very unforgiving cars if you get it wrong.

I'd also recommend you stay away from the power mods until you get a good few miles in it (especially considering your previous car - no offence). Not wishing to sound like a grumpy old git, but we've had far too many new members damage their cars (or themselves) this year through inexperience :(
