Flamage!

Yeah it's a cakewalk compared to the front pipe. I'd recommend using new nuts and bolts when reassembling.

OBTW, Getting a gas tight seal on the joint between the front and second pipe is a pain sometimes, unless you're using the proper gaskets.

well i'll do the second decat in the near future as it seems pretty simple to do, and i'll make sure i use new bolts and gaskets :) Can you expect much boost gain with the second cat gone??It wont spike over 1.2 bar with only the first cat in place will it?

i used to get flames in my old supra.... when running lower boost and WOT change upto 2nd (auto).... also got one on the limiter (at 1.0bar) on RR..

Skyline takes the pis with flames.... its being a twat overfuling just now (timing is out, or just a boost leak somewhere) but on nearly every gear change with hot exhaust it Pop, BANG

Does this pop mean there is flamage?

:flame Dev

pops and bangs are usually an indication of early flamage :) Another good sign is motorists who are tailgaiting you suddenly back off a long long way back :), some also flash you as they expect your car to blow up :)

There are perameters on a mappable ECU which enable this, the purple car will shoot flames like you wouldnt believe ( 6ft long x 3ft dia). I can get the black car to flame now with the map ecu, but nothing like the purple car did.

Mine use to shoot 4ft flames out the back with a loud bang on over run in 2nd or 3rd gear. This was when I was running with the stock 440cc injectors, with the fuel pressure increased and the e-manage. Perhaps a result of the increased fuel pressure nd high injector duty cycles??

Had bigger injectors fitted, fueling and timing remapped and now don't get any flames, just a bit of burbling on over run.
